Power

Power is the rating of readiness that the strike force has and abstracts their resources, manpower, and morale. Higher Power means a more effective and ready battle force and the more resources they have to utilize in the campaigns. The minimal Power is 0; this means the force is in dire straits, minimal supplies, and readiness. The strike force is stretched thin unable to respond to objectives.

Campaigns and Missions cost Power. Each Campaign has a cost, and includes special events called Campaign Objectives and Heroic Opportunities, both have no Power cost, the cost is assumed in the Campaign cost. There are additional Missions that can be done these Missions cost Power.

The Power cost of the Mission must be paid first before the Mission can be launched. There is a similar procedure for Campaigns but, unlike Missions if there is not enough Power the Campaign moves forward and Power is set to 0 and for every two points short of the cost they upgrade the difficulty of all event rolls in the given Campaign, to a minimum of a single upgrade to the difficulty, i.e 0-2 points short upgrades the difficulty by one.

The Strike Force begins with a Power rating of 12 and the initial Campaign will cost 2 Power, leaving the team with 10 Power to spend on additional Missions they may wish to undertake.

If Power is at 0 Requisitions cannot be made and any Mission outside of Heroic Opportunities or Campaign Objectives cannot be done.
