[Day 9 - Mid Morning] Arms of a Space Angel

Event Type: Side Mission
Power Cost: 12
Participants: Unlimited
Timeslots: Mid Morning

Description: The Republic can try to commit forces for a rescue and recovery operation, Jace has green lit the mission as long as they have enough resources to stay on task for the assault on the space station.

Rules: If players engage this mission they may make one skill check of their choice, non-combat skill, to aid the recovery efforts. The Difficulty is Average with a Setback due to the devastation. Two advantage can be used to grant the next ally a boost die, two threat the next ally a setback. Triumph grants two additional successes and a Despair reduces the total by two Successes.

Destiny Use: If this event is engaged then the GM will spend 10 Destiny for the first ten rolls to upgrade the difficulty.

Rewards/Outcome: If a total of 40 successes can be accrued the Clever Man will provide the Republic with a significant Advantage in the next campaign.

Trust Modified: Trust Increased by .5
Power Modified: 15 if the players can amass 50 total successes.
Duty Gained: 10

Oddyn didn't consider mass drivers unfair game, nor did he have any special feelings for the denizens of the world. But he liked children. So he sealed his fully kiirium-plated armour and descended onto the conflagration that was consuming a daycare. He wouldn't save all of them, but some was good enough.

A heavy rock song, appopriate or not, roared from his oh so very Mandalorian helmet while he was tossing the burning construction parts away to make way, the paint on his beskar'gam flaking from heat. Neither did he look nor sound like a saviour, but life loves ironies like that.

Tra arrives on the scene and tries to figure out what to do. It was horrific to see and he just can't make sense of it. Despite the enthusiasm of Oddyn, he just can't wrap his head around where to start. A horrifying attack from the Mandalorians and all he can really think about is how he wants to put an end to their threat.

Among the survivors, many were injured, but even more were frightened.

For them, Arali became a beacon of calm. She established a base camp, organized distribution of relief supplies, helped reunite families as they arrived, and in any moment she could spare, she served as a shoulder to cry on.

Lyseil felt like a complete mess after being shot the night before, but... there were people in need of aid, and she could walk! She persuaded herself that she'd been through worse (she hadn't), and pushed on.

With the devastation of the area, and that the Strike force couldn't spare too much supplies, she led a group to forage further away for supplies and fresh water sources.

Jax heard about the disaster and drove out a group of relief workers and used a transport to lift out those being rescued trafficking survivors back and forth for awhile and after they were clear he would begin transporting rubble out of the way to clear the disaster zone.

Normally Baesal would relish an underwater adventure but these times were dire.

She could not help ease mind and body but she could salvage what she could under the surface: anything that could be put to near immediate use could prove incredibly useful in the next few days, once the shock had passed.

While R5 piloted the submersible truck, the young jedi used the heavy loading arm to bring large building and vehicle parts to the surface so that she could inspect them.

Galen was tired, and still a little sore. He wanted to help with the relic effortls, however, and joined others in searching through the devastated city. He was pushing himself too hard. He should have realized that. He didn't see the crumbling wall until it fell on him.

He wasn't hurt, but he was trapped. Now others would have to waste time rescuing him.

Teffa pitched in, however, she could without physically exerting herself. This meant lifting some spirits around here, using whatever she could to work that out-of-town girl demeanour she had, which seemed to do the trick to her surprise. She did make the situation better, instead of getting in the way with her chatter and gab. Now, if she could be this lucky or smooth elsewhere.

Still a bit dusty and stained (though unharmed) from last night's operation, Tethys deploys to the ruined city without hesitation. This is what she really came to Bankor to do, after all--helping people, not killing them. The medical staff seem to have no need for her quasi-amateur assistance, so she heads out with one of the rescue squads into the worst-hit area of the city. The wrecked buildings and wrecked people are jumbled together in a scene that makes even some of the Republic soldiers blanch, but Tethys keeps her calm and helps clear the way to some of the survivors they're able to find.

The Force isn't about moving rocks... but also, sometimes you need to move some rocks.

Durasay was amongst those looking to lend aid after the attack on the port town. Organizing the work crews, Durasay was able to command through his sheer presence and will. Giving a solid coordinated effort, leaving room for others to give the aid they need.

When the MedEvac team happened to mention what had occurred at Garig Port Town one of their patients stubbornly insisted that they take a detour before returning to base. Rebuilding things was part of his job, and if he couldn't reattach his own arm he would help the people rebuild their lives and home. Also he was so hopped up on pain meds it seemed like a vaguely sensible idea.

Apart from needing to throw up every so often, Rav proved a valuable addition to the rebuilding effort. Eventually though the medics insisted that he get his shaggy arse in the transport so they could take him to the Medical Centre. When they threatened to take his drugs away he finally acquiesced.

Illyria temporarily converted her studio into a refugee connection center. People could come and access the database of known survivors, send messages to them, record messages if anyone tried searching for them, and have a friendly face to talk to while having their wounds tended to.
