The day had been a long one, with more then a few interruptions, so the meeting between the pair had gotten later and later. Perhaps a bit to late now to be proper, but they did need to practice.

The keyboard was set up in the common room, and Z stood at the bar, dressed down like the night before. Though his tie was a shade to match, the ladies eyes. A bit silly perhaps, but she might like it.

It had been a crazy day. The attack in itself had been bad enough, but then afterward it had been all the cleanup, and all the work in checking for survivors, status of various parts of the ship, taking stock of the extent of the damage the Mandalorians had caused to the ship's operational capacities. Which of course meant that Lyseil had been on her feet and running around around in the crazy hecticness of it all until someone took over the shift for her.

She'd showered, and the stray blaster bolt that had hit her... well, the injury wasn't too bad. It had been painful in the heat of the fight, but after some quick treatment it was doing better. And after changing into jeans and a plain black button-up shirt, with only the crystal pendant she had openly worn during the jizz night as decoration to dress it up a little, Lyseil knocked on the door to Z's 'home'.

The violin was with her in its case, of course.

A part of her felt a bit bad at having pushed back this meeting to such a late hour... but she took some comfort in knowing that her fellow musician was someone who was usually up late.

The host arrived in a few moments, Z had helped where he could today. Though as neutral party his shift had ended a bit earlier. Opening the door he flashed the woman on the other side a warm smile. "Come to brighten my night, Sunshine?" He asked a teasing smile on his lips as he stepped aside to let her in.

Taking a moment to take in her pendant and the Violin, Z pursed his lips, his expression turning thoughtful. "Or should I call you starlight this time of day?"

To be met with flattery right off the bat, Lyseil couldn't help but shake her head with a smile. "Silly. Almost all stars are suns, making starlight sunshine, in a way." She chuckled and stepped inside. The young woman looked tired, but also as if she was greatly relieved to be somewhere now to relax.

As well as to see that him whole and uninjured. "I hope you're alright after today's events?"

"So what you're saying then is that you're always shining?" He asked, casually walking by her side as they made their way to the common room. It was good to see that she was well,even if she was a little haggard, any injuries she had were apparently not lasting.

"Oh I'm right as rain, perhaps a touch melancholy, but seeing you has helped that slip away." As the entered the room he gestured to the couch. "If you have a seat I'll get you something, Kaff, Tea, maybe something stronger?"

"Of course I am!" she chuckled. Even being so weary from today's ordeals, Lyseil was always shining. And her mood did seem to brighten too at the prospect of being here for some music, and maybe a drink.

"Oh hmmm... I think I will have to say something stronger. After a day like today, I feel like I'd say something like out of a movie; make it something strong, and make it double." Lyseil reached up to briefly rub her neck underneath her still damp hair. "Ooof... today was a day."

Since he had offered her a seat, she was not going to fuss too much about it. So after putting down the violin case, she made herself comfortable on the couch.

"Something strong coming right up." A double of something usually required something simple, and after a few moments of thought, he picked one of his better rums, added a couple cubes to both glasses, poured and served.

"That it was." Zane agreed as he passed a glass to Lyseil before joking her on the couch. "Seems like it got up into your shoulders at the very least " He glanced her way and offered a smile. "I can offer you a bit of a message if you like."

The glass was accepted with a nod and smile. "Thanks... oh, rum! Been a while since I had that."

After a small sip to start with, she seemed to relax a little more. "Hm... the attack in itself wasn't the worst. It was all the hours after it took to start assessing the situation and the damages... The second shift is still working on it."

Lyseil glanced over to him. "Normally, I'd say no, but... that does sound very nice right now."

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I thought you might like it a bit more then straight whiskey." Z explained. "And it didn't seem like the right time to open that bottle you gave me"

"Why dont yiu turn them, let me get to your shoulders then." Zane took a sip from his glass and set it on the table before shifting to face her. "That does sound rough, it's never easy going through all that. Anything about it you want to talk about?"

"I'm sure there will be a better opportunity for it some other time," she agreed. Cognac was better for a quiet day, not a day like this.

Lyseil took another sip a put her glass on the table as well, then shifted in her seat to turn her back to Zanebry.

"Not particularly... and some of it is classified. Sorry. You know how the military can be sometimes," she said as she glanced over her shoulder at him. "Maybe not the best subject to help unwind... anything that's on your mind?"

"I'm sure there will be." Zane offered as he say his hands gently on the princess's shoulders. His fingers gently probing as the massage began. "There are a few things." He offered after a moment. "But at least one of those is none of my business though so I'll go with another."

"Have you thought of who you might like to invite out gambling?" He asked, trying to ignore the scent of her freshly washed hair as it tickled his nose.

She was certainly tense, but most likely more from the intensity of the battle earlier today. Knowing her, she had probably not shied away from confronting the boarders. But with his touch, her shoulders rose as she breathed deeply, then slowly fell down as she exhaled.

"Hmm... Jax, maybe? He was teaching me some about it earlier today when he caught me practising on my datapad. Maybe Niall, or dr. Ormont? Sabine, perhaps?" Lyseil was thinking of who she might invite, but she figured Zanebry had a more extended list. She didn't have that many friends, after all.

Her hair had a similar scent to her perfume; the kind of fresh feeling of something floral. "And here I thought you were usually the type to pry, no?" there was some amusement in her tone, as she managed more to put a mental distance between herself and the events of the day.

Zane wanted to lean, in smell the perfume on her skin, perhaps even plant a kiss on her neck. He made do with collecting her hair together and laying it over her shoulder, hopefully it wouldn't get in the way this way.

"Niall might be good, and Sabine. I'm not sure if Jax is someone I consider friend enough." His fingers continued to probe her shoulders searching out the little knots of tension. "Rav might be good though, and maybe Tethys if you think we can convince a jedi to gamble."

"I am, but this particular subject was one you said was none of my business." There was a touch of amusement in his voice as he continued. "And I very much like to believe I dont need to be told twice. Though I do want to ask how you're handling it... If you dont mind."

"Specialist Rav is a nice guy, so sure. Hmm... Knight Carrack could be a challenge, but she did show up to jizz night in a dress, so I suspect she knows how to have a good time, occassionally? Maybe she won't mind if we don't play for money." She trembled gently under his touch. "Oh... goodness... yes, right there..." Lyseil murmured as he hit a particular tense spot with his probing fingers.

"Oh... right..." her back straightened slightly out of natural response. "... I'm guessing you've talked with Niall?"

Miss Carrack was actually pretty adorable under the surface, though he wasn't going to tell Lyseil that. "I think she'd accept, as you saw at Jizz night she is a bit more laid back then what she shows on the surface. No harm in asking though,we can see what she thinks." At Lyseil's words, he paused in his exploration, working at the spot that seemed to bother her, though somewhere in the back of his head he was a bit annoyed at how her shirt got in the way. He needed to squash those feelings before they got started.

"He brought it up." z admitted after a short pause. "Though like I said we don't have to talk about it... I mostly just wanted to make sure your okay."

"It's alright," she turned her neck slightly, not quite able to see him, but at least enough to be able to see some of him in the corner of her eye. "I... I'm doing a lot better than I thought I would. Not going to deny I had a long moment in the refresher afterwards when I wasn't feeling good at all, but... it's better this way." Lyseil sighed, as if she had relieved some burdens from her shoulders. "I admit, it's actually kind of a relief. It was all just being very complicated like that, and I'd rather see them happy."

Her smile was barely visible at this angle. "Being dumped isn't fun, but I feel more at ease now like this."

He smiled, giving her shoulders a reassuring squeeze. "As long as you're satisfied with how it went, I'm sure the two of you made some nice memories." Zane shifted slightly so he could almost catch her eyes with his. "You'll always have that picture of him in a swimsuit to look back on too." He finished his tone teasing, as he resumed his massage.

"But, I'm happy to hear you're taking it well, all of this couldn't of been easy." There was a lingering pause. "Do you think it will make things easier, with deciding where you intend to go from here?"

She chuckled at the mention of that picture. "Ah, yes, there's that. He did find out about that one, actually, and well, he got a picture in return. It was only fair, after all." It was a little embarrassing to say it, but considering she'd agreed to pose in that two-piece swimsuit for a calendar already, it wasn't that embarrassing.

"Hmm..." Lyseil nodded carefully. "I suppose it could've been a lot more difficult than it was, though. All things considered, I feel it was a bit my fault that it happened like this, but... I can't change that now." She did catch a glimpse of him now. "I think it will be easier, yes? Things don't seem quite as complicated as they used to anymore... being torn between two different, but similar, feelings."

Her face was starting to turn a little pink at that.

"There are pictures?" He raised a silent eyebrow. "I half to admit that's something I wouldn't mind seeming." His tone was a bit teasing as he said the second part, though there was no lie... He was quite interested, but now was likely not the right time.

That was a revelation he wasn't quite expecting, especially attached to the light pink notes of her cheeks, and his hands froze as he tried to digest it. "Two similar feelings?" Z asked, hesitating before he let his arms fall from her shoulders, wrapping his hands around her moments later as he snuggled in against her. "Does that mean it's okay if I do this?" He asked gently, his lips near her ear.

"Hey, weren't you the one who was going to be taking the pictures anyway for that calendar?" she teased in return. At least she had been convinced he'd be the one doing it.

Lyseil worried at first she might've said too much, or said something wrong, as she felt his hands go still. Feeling him move, she stiffened at first, then relaxed, followed by a soft chuckle. "Yes..."

"Honestly, that wasn't really the plan; I'm not much of a photographer. I was going to see if I could find someone with a better eyes for these things then me." His lips curled into a sly smile. "Not that I would of minded taking those type of pictures though. Especially of you."

"Mmm..." He murmured in satisfaction, reaching his hand up to remove his hat, so it wouldn't get in the way as he nuzzled into her neck. "You should know I wanted to do this from the moment you walked in." He murmured, before planting a kiss on her neck just below her ear, it had been a truly wise decision to move her hair out of the way during the massage.

"We probably shouldn't go too far though... Keep it to kissing?" The words were mostly meant for him, but he needed her to set some boundaries.

She chuckled at that. And here she had thought he was going to put himself in the position to take pictures of all the underdressed people.

Still, she couldn't quite help herself from a sharp, if brief, intake of breath as she felt his lips against her skin, and he could feel her lean more into his embrace. "...Since I walked in today?" Lyseil asked, her voice softer than usual.

"I... I'm not quite ready to go much further than that. There's still much I'm getting to know about you."

"Longer then that honestly." He replied, giving her another kiss along the line of her jaw. "But the urge has been getting a little harder to deny the more we meet each other." He took a slow breath enjoy the way she smelled, and the feeling of her leaned in against him. "Not that I intended to push things, I'm not always a good man but I didn't want to hurt you."

"Then we're on the same page... It's probably best we take things slow."

Smiling, she turned her head after he had kissed her jaw, and in returned kissed his cheek. "Hm... my feelings have been of a similar nature..." Being so close to him now, she could pick up the scent of his cologne.

"Thank you," Lyseil's hands reached up and folded gently over Zanebry's. Her thumb traced the outline of one of the scars she recalled from before. "You already know I'm terrible with these relationship-things..." it was a little embarrassing to look back at it now and see two rather awkward and somewhat pitiful attempts at relationships.

"You're a complex man, but... maybe that's just part of the equation that I've felt attracted to?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

"I don't think you did all that badly." Was Zane's soft response. "These things really arent that easy." He had been around long enough to know that. "Attraction is hard to understand, though maybe that's part of it."

He let his eyes drift closed enjoying this moment. "For me it's your kindness, and the way you smile. How you brighten a room just by entering it."
