[Gena Yon]

Gena watched the planet of Bankor far below, it was still large in the view of space but from here it seemed so small and fragile, just a green, blue-white orb floating against the black. One could hardly guess there was a war raging down below… it seemed so peaceful.

Jax approached the woman he had met briefly not too long ago stepping up next to her looking down at the planet below. His ever present flask in his hands despite the early hour. He took a long drink of it. His eyes were fixed on the small ball of dirt and chaos as he spoke "Heard about Lelia, my condolences." his tone was somber.

Jax hadn't taken the news particularly hard but it had instilled a certain sadness in his stomach, the woman was a new acquaintance but she had seemed so full of life and freedom that hearing about her candle being snuffed out in such a way was disheartening. "She was a special woman."

“She was…” she said, wanting to say is, but that just wasn’t true anymore.

“I told her getting mixed up in Jedi business would end poorly.”

[Jax Dolross]

Jax nodded "I have no doubt she was doing what she thought was right and wouldn't have had it any other way. Even if she knew the outcome." Jax thought that was true she had iun fact volunteered for a suicide mission to help her friend. Jax had no doubt she was the type of woman that cared little for the danger of a task if she thought it was what needed to be done.

“You are probably right, still ended with a bad deal,” she said in response. “But it isn’t the first time the Jedi got other people killed.”

She was silent and then said, “She died doing what she thought was best.”

[Jax Dolross]

Jax nodded "exactly, its better than what most of us can hope for." he paused "Well maybe not here, I'd guess most folks who die here will die doing what they think is the right thing.

He looked at Gena for the first time "So what's your plan now? Once this is all over?"

[Gena Yon]

"I have not decided yet, I guess return to University," she said without much thought.

[Jax Dolross]

"University?" he asked with a slight eyebrow quirk "were you a professor or a student that never finished?"

[Gena Yon]

“I was a nursing student… well I wanted to be a medical doctor… but I had to quit before my first year was done,” she said honestly.

[Jax Dolross]

"Well now there is a series of events. Were you going to university here on Bankor?" he asked simply

[Gena Yon]

“I was,” she said looking at the planet.

“Then the Mandos turned it into a war zone. I am not sure it even exists anymore.”

[Jax Dolross]

Jax nodded again "they certainly have many crimes to pay for." he spoke softly "Well if you decide you want to head somewhere else, for whatever reason, you can always travel aboard the Midnight for a time."

[Gena Yon]

“Thank you for the offer, but I just want the fighting to be done. Lost too many good people,” she said wistfully.

[Jax Dolross]

"Don't we all, if we could snap our fingers and have this all go back to the way it was I don't think there are many who wouldn't jump at the chance." his voice was smooth and calming "Unfortunately in this galaxy it always seems like its the good people that pay the most for the wicked's transgressions."

[Gena Yon]

“Good intentions get good people killed,” she said calmly. “There are problems in this galaxy but many of them have the same source as the so-called solution. A never ending cycle of violence and warfare.”

[Jax Dolross]

Jax nodded "indeed which we all know goes to profit those in charge. Crime bosses, gun runners, politicians pandering for approval. It's just human nature I guess."

[Gena Yon]

“I don’t care who profits, I just want to remove the source. Someone will always find a way to benefit from tragedy, think that is universal for most species. But that is a conversation for… whenever,” she said with frustration.

“Right now none of it will fix what happened.”
