Yeah from about D9 onwards I've been a little more absent than I'd like with school holidays meaning kids to look after.

And then my available time was watching all the tense battle-y stuff.

Zane was very fun to watch and play off, far too sophisticated for poor old Garth though.

Thanks for taking my "Jenkins" and running with it. I really enjoyed seeing him pop up in other threads

I enjoyed reading Garth, I'm just sad we didn't activate the Swoop mission so he and Aran could have had a swoop off! Did you enjoy him, and how was the Racer spec in practice?

Jenkins just kept poppin' up didn't he.

As for Racer, it did what I expected it to do (for someone unfamiliar with the system). Didn't really sync up with the game too much, in hindsight, it would've probably been better mechanically to have started in Starfighteer Ace and then specced into Racer rather than the other way around, but I like the character and the background better this way.

I know I mentioned this, but I love Garth’s accent, and I wish we’d had more than one thread.

Haha, that answers my question about what sound-set precisely you were going for.

I had tremendous fun playing with Garth, talking about Force stuff, etc. After the Rexa=Zash reveal I remembered you'd mentioned planning to go to her for Force advice if Tethys hadn't shown interest, and I spent a few moments going over that alternate-universe storyline.

Was there anything that surprised you about playing Garth ? Maybe especially around his emergent Force-sensitivity, but also just in general. And if he comes back, do you plan to do anything further with his mysterious Jedi mother?

So what was the deal with the crystal necklace?

Do you think you'll reprise Garth in the future (Alderaan!)?

It started out as just not having a clue for a second signature item. Didn't want him to have a full on lightsaber, so gave him a crystal keepsake from his mom.

I think so, he'll be ending up flying around on the Midnight at some point in between games, so if Jax turns up, then it's likely Garth will as well.

He started to engage Rexa during the Jizz night, just lucky it didn't end up going too far due to the chaos of a large thread. Garth is fairly gullible enough to have potentially been persuaded to do something stupid.

I enjoyed our session 1 swooping! It was one of, maybe my first, attempts at trying to find a PC to start a thread with, and I was well rewarded. I know I/we didn't make other threads after that, but I like to think that he and Aran spent some time off screen or between sessions doing gratuitous speeder bike patrols. Or maybe if you end up tramping around with Jax, they swoop across each other's paths while adventuring through the galaxy....
