What crimes was he responsible for? Did you enjoy playing a Gand? I've always thought they had a lot of potential!

So, what was up with the death obsession? Where did that idea come from, but IC and OOC?

A lot of minor crimes. Hamelin grew up poor on the streets. So he stole in order to survive. He had a chance encounter with his master who realized quickly that he was a Force Sensitive and brought him back to the Jedi to get training.

I found the Gand race rather interesting. I took liberties with the language as you all saw. Showed that his speech is weird despite being somewhat understandable. Plus I got to play up the insectoid part up a bit. The whole having to wear a respirator otherwise you die was a bit fun playing up at times.

The death fixation came closer to the end. He has another obsession that is worse but it never really came up... or at least no one caught on to it. I thought the prospect of bringing a doomspeaker type of character interesting but putting a somewhat more positive spin on it. I got the inspiration from the Anubis character in the Gargoyles cartoon.
