Galen read the expression on Cole's face and had an idea of what was happening.

"Your friend needs more than can be done here. We'll all need to return to camp."

Cole quickly showed them how to roll the sides of the sheets, knotting the corners into loops for handles. It wasn’t the best stretcher, but the only broken bones the woman had were in her skull, keeping her immobile was currently a secondary concern. Positioning himself by her head, the surgeon prepared to lift her up, “face forward,” he indicated for the person taking the other end of the stretcher to lead, “hands through the loops and grab the sides of the sheet.”

He demonstrated by crouching and slipping a wrist through each loop, grabbing hold firmly of the makeshift stretcher just below the knots. It would be difficult for him to make it all the way back like this, but it was better he strain himself helping carry the litter, than restrict the reactions of a second fight-capable person.

“We can take our speeder, it’s in the alley, has a flat bed should be useful right? Or will that be too much movin’ for her?” the fighter asked.

"Sounds good, a smooth ride would be preferable, but a fast ride is better."

The fighters load the woman up in the back and speed over to the base as quickly as they can trying to avoid the gunships and keep the ride as smooth as possible. Though there are some rough spots but they get to the Republic base quickly.

Cole is able to enlist a few nurses and some specialised equipment at the medical facilities, going to work with steely determination.
