Day 4, Late Morning | Average Resilience Check vs Chase, Flip for Upgrade -Diffulty and Roll-: 1eP+1eA+2eD 0 successes

The ship explodes with fire… she is blown off her feet and suffered superficial damage but she can hear whoever is inside screaming for aid.

OOC: Take 4 strain from the blast… due to fire gain 2 setback dice to free the person, leave it up to you what skill you wish to use with justification.

Flying back onto her rear from the blast it took Chase a long second to figure out what happened. Damnit, she shoulda figured they were working on borrowed time with a wreck like this. Shoving herself to her feet with a forcefulness she stumbled a bit as she regained her sense of stability. Finding her core again, she steadied her footing and took a quick glance of the situation.

There wasn't much time in a situation like this, and the best way forward was to get as close as she could. Chase wasn't strong but she could move. Slipping through the wreckage she found herself a position where she could find the person. After that it was only a matter of slipping them out with them, finding spots she could push debris out of the way for someone who was far less flexible than she was.

Day 4, Late Morning | Average Coordination Check vs Chase, Boost with Destiny: 1eP+3eA+2eD+2eS 2 successes

Jax saw the explosion "Chase are you alright? Do you need assistance?"

There wasn't a response, the woman had a singular focus despite hearing her comrades on the chatterbox she simply didn't have the time in a situation like this.

"Garth stay in the air we'll need someone who can go get help fast if this goes any worse." Jax said as he dove the bird in for a landing and ran forward to see if there was anything he could do to help.

She pulled a man from the burning wreck… he was injured but alive. If not for her heroism he would have burned to death but now he is alive. He slowly opened his eyes and said, “Well if this is the after life then I struck aurum. Hey beautiful.”

"Guess I can save myself the trouble of asking if you're alright then," she cracked a smile, shaking her head as she made sure they were clear of the vehicle. "So, instead, how 'bout we go over what exactly in the galaxy happened out here... but first.."

Chase pulled up her comm, "Jax, Garth, we've got someone. Injured, but we're both out of this alive. Gonna need to signal that evac with our location."

Jax looked at the man she pulled from the wreck "Well that's a shame lieutenant his eyes must've been damaged in the explosion." he quipped dryly as he sent the message on his comms as he stepped up next to chase.

Checking over her shoulder the brief few extra inch it took to bring Jax into view she shook her head, "You know, I could put you in his place. Not too late. I'm sure the wreck'll still burn for a good while."

“Vando Nee, of the Nee family? Surely… never mind, I was running the last of the resistance I guess and we got shot down. Are those Republic colors? I heard rumors, but damn this is a sight for sore eyes,” he said gratefully.

"See? he said himself his eyes are sore." he said "and you're welcome to try LT." he said finally cracking a smile. He turned to the man "Republic is here to help, how long ago did this all go down?"

"Tried true and blue," she responded, but shook her head a bit grimly, "a shame to see we didn't get here sooner."

Jax said his piece but Chase was a few steps in a different direction, "I'm hoping more that you've got some good news for us? Like, say, how many of your people are still left alive in this forsaken desert?"

“I don’t know, we got ambushed by the Mandalorians, think I saw Varo Kryze… he was unstoppable. I had everyone make a break for it, scatter into the desert. Maybe they fell back to the canyon… we got a compound there,” he said thinking over the situation.

"On it boss," Garth replied as he radioed back to base for a medivac.

"How 'bout you tell us where that base of yours is and as soon as Jax and I here see you onto a medevac we go hunting for your people, make sure they're alright," Chase said, looking up to the sky toward Garth before looking back to Vando. "Sound like a good deal?"

“I am not that hurt, just take me with you,” he added ruefully. He then complied giving them the coordinates of the base.

“They might be a little jumpy though.”

"Garth," she said as she picked up her comm unit again. "Tell them to hold off on that medevac but to keep it ready. Might have a possible location on the resistance. Tell them to await coordinates and confirmation."

"Jax, probably don't wanna leave that bird alone here. I'm sure me and Vando should be fine here on the ground, but I'm not gonna force you into it. T will be able to take over my Spitfire and bring it with."

"I'll follow from the sky but at the first sign of trouble you be sure to let us know." he said as he clapped Chase on the back and headed back to his spitfire and got her ready to fly soon taking off and joining Garth in the air.

"Can you walk on your own, or you need a shoulder?" Chase asked Vando as Jax walked off behind them. "There's really no other way about it, so I hope where we're going is close."

Garth relayed the info as requested, then provided escort with Jax to Chase and her new contact.

“I can walk and not exactly close but we can walk it if we have to,” Vando replied confidently.

"If the Spitfire had a second seat, it'd be great, but that's what we've got with us right now," she said, offering a hand to help him to her feet as she stood herself. "Lead the way Vando."

Meanwhile, T7-B8 took it's position in the skies with Chase's Spitfire. Taking a central position given it's more vulnerable state without a proper pilot.
