Event Type: Combat Mission
Power Cost: 5

Each round, at the end of the round, the Transport will take 4 System Structure damage, it has a total of 20 System Structure.

If no member of the Republic is standing on the ground, the Resistance is overrun and killed at the end of the round. There are five minion groups of 4 on the ground, at the end of each round they will be replaced up to five minion groups, only if a minion group is at half strength or less. There are 4 total members including Lelia and Thazos, 2 are unconscious.

To get Thazos to leave anyone behind is a Coercion or Charm check at versus 1 Challenge Die and 2 Difficulty dice plus 2 setback dice due to his connection and loyalty to his men.

Durasay checked the seals on his heavy armor again, in case gas weapons came into play. Looking to the crewman who was manning the rappelling station, he saluted, grabbing a hold of the cord, and leaping back out of the transport. Hearing the blood pounding in his ears, he landed with a heavy foot fall, dropping to one knee on the ground, before rushing into position.

I am One with the Force, and the Force is with me!

Where her Senator went, Illyria was not far behind. C4N-D1D swirled around her on autopilot while she clipped herself in and jumped. Screwing up her courage, she leapt off the transport. Unfamiliar with such antics though, her legs gave out underneath her and she hit the ground with a sickening thud before staggering to her feet.

Odd did not care about Tazoses and Lelias of this world, but his ignominious defeat and unexpected survival the other day generated some confidence and purpose issues. Those were best addressed with violence guided toward things. Besides, prosthetics wouldn't pay for themselves, so he owed the Strike Force some proof that he was worth investing in. One-armed, he insisted that he could still shoot big things with one hand. It was only qualifyingly true, he brought a bipod to his Sidewinder into the operation. But it looked like there was something even better on board...

"I'll man this." He said through comms. And damn was he ready to shoot!

The palace was on fire, there was blaster fire everywhere as the Republic dropped into the hot zone. The transport the Resistance was using was a burning wreck with only four survivors, two were still shooting and the other two were not moving but alive.

It was chaos as the Mandalorian shock troopers closed in… they far out numbered the Republic ad Resistance… this was not a standoff this was a lightning strike… the transport wouldn’t stand under direct assault!

OOC: Mandalorians are in squads of 4, 5 squads in total, they have Ranged and Melee Defense 1 and are at Medium range with Heavy Blaster Rifles. The Republic lands at Short range to the Resistance, medium range to the Mandalorians. Oddyn on the ship is at Long Range. It takes a maneuver to grab a knocked out resistance soldier and an action to send anyone up, at a max of two per round. Republic goes first. The Mandalorians are dug in, they have Cover as well.

Spending a Destiny flip for each player on their action upgrade Difficulty on their check.

The weapon chewed through the Mandalorian shock troopers cutting them down!

OOC: Squad 1 is removed, since that is two hits for 20. Four squads left. Those that fell rappelling are prone at the start of their rounds.

Durasay moved quickly, paired blaster pistols in his hands, as he made his way up to the resistance group. Moving into a position where he was in cover, he took a deep breath, aiming both blasters towards the coming Mandalorians.

"Go, go! Get to the speedah!" He called to the resistance fighters. His aim, though taking extra effort under fire, even at cover, never wavered.

The shots he peppered the field with, one catching a mando straight on in center mass, as he fired both blasters!

D5 - ME - The Perfect Storm (Agility 3, Ranged (Light) 1, Aiming 1x Boost, +1 Advantage on Hit, +1 Difficulty for Two-Weapon fighting, Short Range, Defense 1, Cover 1, DD Destiny Upgrade): 1eP+2eA+1eB+1eC+1eD+2eS 2 successes, 1 threat

His pin point shots takes out a shock trooper, the first shot dropping him to his knees the second gunning him down in the hail of fire. One of his allies pointed at Durasay… and they turn to focus on him.

OOC: One member of Squad 2 is removed from the pinpoint shots, they are not down to three!

The Mandaloroians are disciplined and work together laying down fire on Oddyn and Durasay with concentrated blasts from cover! More of their shock troopers are moving into position… a last stand will go poorly for the Republic if they are forced to it.

OOC: Squad 2 struck Durasay for 13 wounds, 3 Advantage used for Critical Injury, 1 Advantage used to give next ally a boost die; Triumph used to Upgrade the next Squad's shot. Combined Fire (NPC Talent) is activated granting next ally a boost die on their combat check on Durasay. Squad 3 missed Durasay, using 3 Advantage to force Durasay to drop what is in his mainhand, 1 boost die to assist next ally activate Combined Fire on Durasay.

Oddyn is struck for 12 wounds, use 2 Advantage to give Oddyn another setback on his next check! Activate Combined Fire on Oddyn. Oddyn is struck for 13 more wounds and a Critical Injury! Republic have the last two slots, Squad 1 is gone so last Mandalorian slot will not go. Spent 3 Destiny on this turn.

Fire grazed the side of Oddyn's head, the heat flaking his skin all above the ear. While the beskar'gam took the most of it, the impact and the burn almost sent Oddyn to the ground. But he liked big guns so he caught on and stayed on the post for at least one more salvo before he'd go down.

There was no shame in dying at the gunbarrel of a fellow Mando'ad. Especially after his unjustified survival.

JAx dashed into the hail of fire he had a pretty specific target for this run. He maneuvered near Lelia behind some cover preparing to grab her and pull her out of their at the first chance. From behind his vantage he chucked a grenade into the mandos needing to thin out their ranks a bit. The grenade flys true landing right in the middle of a squad and setting of a crackling explosion of energy. Jax takes advantage of the explosion to grab Lelia and drag her into cover.

Illyria struggled to her feet. Stumbling slightly, she tried to force her shock-shaken legs to stay underneath her while she crossed the few feet over to Jax and the Zeltron. She fumbled with the rescue line, fastening it to Lelia. Double checking her work without much confidence, she slapped the button which started the ascension mechanism. One away, the Pantoran reporter crumpled back into the wall nearby before fishing a stimpack from her pouch and quickly jamming it into her thigh.

-----
Jax dragged Lelia over, so action to rescue her. Incidental draw stimpack from the pouch, then administering it to herself. Recover 5 wounds.

More Mandalorians replace the fallen and continue their assault! Thazos picked up his comrade and then moved to the pickup and sent his ally up to the transport! Several blast rip into the vehicle but it holds for now.

OOC: Illyria is still prone, Thazos picked up and moved and used an action to send 1 ally up, so Lelia and Resistance 1 are in the transport. The Transport sustains 4 damage. Mandalorian Squad 1 is replenished to full and Squad 2 is filled back to full compliment.

Mandalorians have Defense 1 and Cover. Republic slots to start Round 2.

Blood pouring over his face in the helmet started to cloud Odd's vision. He quickly administered a stim and tried to shave off the swelling ranks of his opponents with carpet fire, but all he did was deafen them a bit.

"Motir ca'tra nau tracinya. Gra'tua cuun hett su dralshy'a. Taung!

Spending a Destiny Point, subtracting 500 credits, for Deus Ex Luck Item Purchase (pg. 36 FaD Core Rulebook):

Durasay grimaced as the impact of the blaster bolts tore into his armor, searing through the connection points. He could feel muscles spasm beneath his flesh. This was an onslaught that wasn't going to end. And when his blaster dropped, he was worried. Worried that it was going pear shaped, but at least, he remembered a basic maxim of the Pantoran MIlitary: Always Be Prepared.

But the blaster wasn't really an issue. During the down time, he had made sure to purchase and install the Magnetic Weapon Tether attachment on both of his pistols. The button in his palm hit, it flew back into his hand. Rushing to the remaining unconcious member of the Resistance, he grabbed a hold of the being, and hauled him back to the rappelling lines. Securing the unconscious body, he waved it up, and watched as the body was hoisted to the Transport.

"That's all your friends! Get up there, now! Jax! Covering fire!" He cried out, looking over the battlefield, sucking wind.

Incidental: Activate Magnetic Weapon Tether to retrieve Heavy Blaster Pistol that was dropped.
Maneuver: Grab Resistance Soldier
Maneuver: 2 strain, haul them back to the transport rappel lines, now at medium range from the Mandos.
Action: Send them up

Spend Destiny on combat checks against him, as they occur.

Wounds: 9/19
Soak: 4
Strain: 4/12
Defense: 1/1
Crit 1: Agonizing Wound (Upgrade all Brawn and Agility Checks until the end of the encounter)

The Mandalorians gesture at Durasay and two squads focus their fire on the Pantoran senator… it is vicious and accurate as many blaster bolts go sailing into the senator!

Another squad fired a vicious shot at Oddyn, Mandalorians are accurate fighters.

OOC: Durasay is hit for 12 wounds, Auto Fire is used for a second hit of 12 wounds and a Critical Injury. Combined Fire gives next ally a boost die. Squad 2 fired at Durasay for another 11 wounds, Auto-Fire for a second hit of 11. Oddyn is struck for 15 wounds, let me know what to use 2 threat on. Holding in case the players wish to utilize the Threat.
