Azura moved away from the group, finding a spot to sit down and stretch out. She was hurting from all the fighting now.

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

Cole moved to Azura’s side and hunkered down, “a transport will take you back to camp. Drink some water and see the medics.” He was annoyed by her outburst, but her obvious injuries overrode that.

[Galen Sol]

"It was more than that." he shook his head. "What you said meant something. Maybe not what you meant, but it meant something."

Galen wasn't sure what Darius was, Jedi or not, but he'd seen behavior like that before. Even predators liked to play.

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

“A man has to fall a long way to find himself beyond redemption.” Cole truly believed that, naive as it was.

[Galen Sol]

"I agree." Galen nodded. "Are you alright, Doc? This isn't what I called you out here for, and I'm sure you weren't expecting it."

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

“It’s not the first time I’ve been on the business end of a lightsaber,” his usual deadpan tone sounded like it wasn’t anything, but his body language didn’t agree.

[Galen Sol]

"It is a terrifying weapon." Galen sighed. "Regardless of who is holding it."

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

“And a deadly one,” Cole added.

[Galen Sol]

"Most weapons are, Doc."

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

Cole narrowed his eyes at Galen, annoyed by the obviousness of the statement. He popped the buttons on one side of the jacket, the white bib falling aside to reveal the white undershirt. The surgeon grabbed the shirt and lifted it, showing his slim, craggy hips and stomach. Showing the scar that crossed his body and up his chest, disappearing under the gathered fabric. He said nothing, his pale eyes hard as ice.

[Galen Sol]

"What happened? If I may ask?"

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

He tucked his shirt in and rebuttoned the jacket, “a Sith who was too weak to do the job properly happened.”

[Galen Sol]

"What happened to them?" he asked.

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

“I evacuated him, put his pieces back together again, and last I saw, he was doing well and headed back to Imperial Space.”

[Galen Sol]

"I'm sorry you went through that, Doc." he offered a sympathetic smile. "I'm glad to hear that you helped him, though."

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

“It’s what I do,” he half-shrugged.

[Galen Sol]

"Many of us have scars." he pulled up one of his sleeves, and the armored mesh beneath. His arm was covered with scsrs, seemingly bite marks. "But, they shouldn't define us or change us."

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

“I have no idea what you mean.”

[Azura Mora]

"You're still you even if a saber sliced you up is what I think he means" Azura interjected into the conversation that she was only partially paying attention to.

[Galen Sol]

"Pretty much." he shrugged. "I've met people who hate anything that reminds them of what scarred them."

[Azura Mora]

"Then they're not the same person anymore" Azura shook her head "they have more fear, more anger, more pain."

[Dr. Cole Ormont]

Of course I’m afraid, he wanted to snap, I hear that sound in my nightmares and I feel that pain all over again. “You asked me if I was all right. I’m fine. Whatever I might expect to encounter out here, this isn’t my first go ‘round.”

"Good to know." Galen nodded. "Let's get back to your patients."
