The Heavy lifted his repeating blaster and fired on Aran and sprayed the area with blaster fire catching Azura as well in the hail of blaster shots!

OOC: Hit for 18 wounds, proc Autofire to hit with Triumph, let me know what to do with 1 Threat! Second hit is for Azura for 18 wounds. I adjusted the roll since I realized Aran has the better defenses due to Sense.

Oddyn was not sure whether he was alive or not after the waking shot. He heard screams of dying people, but saw nothing! The realisation that disruptor heatwave half-melted his eyeballs might come later; the only thing he focused now was the will to finish what he had started and so far had failed to deliver. As the battle raged, he attuned to the beeping of his electronic targeting, crawling back in search for the sound of a lock. When it came, he didn't wait. Or rather, he didn't want to wait. His body was a wretched heap of barely functioning muscles, a worn-out malfunctioning battle equipment that... reacted a heartbeat too late. However, the staccato of his five-barrel mayhem hit something metallic, high above. On a hunch, he kept the repeater going...

Varo is caught under the rubble and although not terribly injured will have to rip himself free through brute strength and agility.

OOC: Varo is pinned down under a great deal of debris until he frees himself, he will need to make an Athletics or Coordination check at Hard to get free but he can still defend himself.

Aran tried to draw on his training to reflect the furious hail of blasterfire, but managed only a glancing return. His heart sank as he saw Azura fall, and in his moment of distraction he felt a burning tear across his side.

No!

He let the force of the bolt spin him around into a lunge, letting the axe clatter to the ground and coming at the larger man fast. He didn't bother with any fancy moves once he was too close for the huge gun to be brought to bear, slicing it in half and continuing the swing into his enemy.

The blaster's barrel forward of the grip hit the ground with a clank. "Loose cannon," Aran said, slightly out of breath. The auto-injector hissed.

[Destiny Edit]

Galen had always wanted a Czerka Arms Model 38. There was a time when he thought he'd give his life for one. In the face of actual death, however, that was just stupid. He brought the rifle up to deflect the vibroblades. It wasn't much, but the splintering of the gun slowed the blades just enough.

"There...it's stabilized." Hacha checks the readings, content that he is in control for now. "Now...if I were a grandiose control freak, who wanted a backup, hmmm...."

Hacha starts to poke under the control panel. "I would carry a remote takeover, but it would somehow have to bypass the manual and shut it out. So you would need something to shift it over..." Hacha sees a mess of wires. "Here?"

Hacha yanks the wires. "I'm pretty sure that was his Plan A". He then looks down at his gun, and then to the door where the turrets are waiting. "But I'm kirffing sure he has a more violent plan B." Hacha rachets back the action of his gun and lines it at the door. He reaches for his commlink, broadcasting the message.

"Attention, Republic strike force. Mission parameters have been met. Bail out, bail out!"

Hacha pauses.

"It would have been nice to see the upgrades on the Turtle. Study it's new shell." There is a wheezy cough. "Has to be...*cough* be *cough* kriffing awesome."

"Roger that. You have our gratitude."

As he replied to Hacha over the comms, Galen backed away from Varo, turning towards Oddyn and offering a hand.

"Leave him to his pointless death and survive to spit on his grave."

Will use maneuvers to help Oddyn if wanted/needed. Regardless, action to bail out.

"Show respect to a worthy foe!" Oddyn barked, but one thing Galen had said awakened him from his deathwish. Varo was going to die anyway. It wasn't as perfect a vengeance as he would have liked, with Oddyn dealing the final blow. But that scenario had no way of coming to pass, with him blinded and Varo unhinged, and he had made a promise of custody and upbringing to Huti and Farol, a word he couldn't keep were he to die... His physical eyes were dead, but in that fraction of a moment needed to make a decision his inner gaze quickly perused his own mind, getting straight to his Mandalorian soul. What was more enshrined in Resol'nare, commitment to your children or romanticised vengeance? The answer was obvious, and with the realisation he no longer hesitated.

"Varo Kryze, it's your day to die, so my feud is done. March away to Manda, ner vod." He said spilling blood from his mouth, as he let Galen guide him to escape pods.

Aran took a deep breath to steady himself as he heard Hacha over his commlink. His heart had been in his throat since Varo had leapt at Galen. He had felt sure that Galen would fall, and he would be alone with Varo and an impossible choice about whether to stay or who to take with him. He had felt it with such a certainty that he had been sure that he was sensing the future, as he had tried to do in deep meditation but never succeeded.

But he was safe, dragging Oddyn behind him, and Aran followed with Azura throw over his shoulders in a fit of uncharacteristic strength. No-one out cold can stay flashed irreverently through his mind, but he spared no breath for it, nor for the warlord whose mad last act of murder was crumbling around him. As he collapsed on to the shuttle, he said the only thing.

“The Force will be with you, Hacha Tsuko. Always.”

Varo reached his disruptor pistol and fired after the Republic fighter and then tossed the weapon aside as he tried to gain control and saw he could not change the new course. Then he started running but it would be too late… his final act thwarted by the heroism and sacrifice of Hacha!

OOC: Resilience check for Hacha, versus 2 red and 2 purple with a setback, good luck.
