The droid lowered to the ground, red tinting flowing into his eyes as he assessed the distance to the target.

"Kill mode engaged."

It darted into the brush, barking and making a ridiculous amount of noise.

"Wa... what?" Lyseil turned her head in surprise to GB to see him darting off into the brush and barking like mad.

As concerned as she was for the droid, she also saw that this could be an opportunity to get over to help. She felt like a coil, ready to spring into action once it seemed GB had the shooter's attention.

Lyseil seemed to be able to get over to the group without much trouble. A blaster bolt landed near GB-PK9's bush but otherwise did not harm him yet.

Lyseil hurried over to the group. "I'm here to help!" she said, though keeping her voice down.

Lyseil has stims if that can get people up and going enough to get to safety. Her plan is to get them away from the area and to safety.

The good news was that there were no injured parties. The bad news was that the person shot was completely dead...

GB was not deterred by the range. His task was clear. Continue being a distraction until Lyseil and the others could get out of harm's way.

The synthesized baying of an electronic hound continued as he attempted to close the distance between himself and the assailant, attempting to avoid the gunfire himself as well.

"Come on, let's get you to safety!" Lyseil peeked out to see if the coast was clear, before they could move to safety!
