Aaroth went in to finally send Sabine to the ground. Eralynn herself marched forward, her step uneasy. However, it was as if she refused to notice her own weakness. "You and me!" she yelled in Basic, "Nobody else. In exchange, you stand your ground and stop trying to throw me around like a discarded toy."

"That's madness! We'll just kill her!" Aaroth yelled. But she ignored his plea.

"If your man here will stop fighting when you fall, and you both will leave these," Tethys gestures around with her free hand at her fallen companions "alive when I fall, then I agree."

She takes a deep, slow breath. The Force is with me...

"So resigned to defeat? That is unlike you." The woman blinked, dazed by the battle, and spat out blood to the side. "Aaroth, you heard her."

"It will be the will of the Force," Tethys says with deceptive calm. She nods at Eralynn, and almost seems to float toward her, blue-green saber blade flashing...

Eralynn lifted her left arm up to deflect the lightsaber blow. The first one was powerful enough to keep her off-balance, which was enough of an opening to slice another hole in her ravaged body. She collapsed to her knees and tried one last swipe before her body finally gave way. "Zarren, Zarren... I failed."

Tethys swipes a dreadlock that's come loose from her chignon back over her shoulder with her left hand and fixes Aaroth with a steady glare, blazing lightsaber still held in her right.

"I am taking this war criminal into Republic custody to face a fair trial for her crimes against civilization." She takes a deep breath, lets it out. "If your loyalty to her demands you stay with her, surrender to me. If not, go. But no matter what, if Clan Varad takes up her ways again, we will find you. Again."

The warlord continued to babble to herself, for the moment lost to her own psychosis. "I implore you, let her go. Take me in instead. Taking her in would completely break her.

"Her sister is coming. She can take Eralynn and keep her from harming your people."

Tethys shakes her head. "I don't know how you handle these things, but that is not how it works with us. She must answer for her own decisions." Looming over Eralynn, tall and stern in her armored robes with the green glow from her saber reflecting on her dark skin, she might be a forbidding figure even to a Mandalorian. "If you truly believe she is not of sound mind to be responsible for her actions, you should never have taken orders from her."

Aaroth stated at her, his expression blank but his eyes in turmoil, distraught. "She is family, Jedi. A different life from yours." He unhooked his shield and dropped it to the floor, his role of body guard was done. But he still intended on protecting her.

He unholstered his pistol slowly and leveled it towards the weeping woman. "I will ask you again: allow me to return her home."

Tethys swallows and steps between the man and his kinswoman. "I am sorry for your pain," she says slowly, with evident sincerity. "But I can't do what you ask. That is part of me, just as much as your family is part of you."

She extends her left hand toward him palm-up--a hand of peace. The shimmering lightsaber is still in her right hand, however.

((There's no mechanic for Reflecting shots away from other people, is there? Hmm. If he tries to shoot Tethys will attempt it anyway. Flip Destiny if necessary.))

Aaroth looked down at his foster daughter. "We have been to many planets. This one, Bankor, is lovely. But it does not match our home. The sunsets there are more beautiful than you could ever imagine."

He made his move to pull the trigger...

Tethys abruptly takes a step forward and closes her left hand, and Aaroth's gun skitters out of his grasp, sliding across the floor. "No. I hope you can forgive me. I will understand if you don't. But either way... I give you my word she will be treated fairly and honorably." She swallows again, blinks--the pain radiating around the two Mandalorians is hard to take, even with no special training in sensing the emotions of others.

"Go back to your beautiful homeworld. Care for the rest of your family there. I am sorry Bankor brought you so much suffering, but we all have to live with our own choices."

The grizzled Mandalorian watched his pistol slide and then lowered his eyes. He stood there for awhile before turning around. He glanced back, unsure of how to say goodbye, apologize for his failures.

No words came from him. And soon enough, he was gone.

Tethys watches Aaroth leave warily. Then she waits a little longer in stillness, alert for the red flash of the sniper's rifle.

When, after several long moments, no new threats appear, she flicks her comlink to life. It's already tuned to the band the strike force is using for this operation. In a calm, level voice, she reports her position, three casualties needing evacuation, and an injured prisoner. As she speaks into the com, she's already opening up her field first-aid kit, checking her three fallen comrades--she knows they're alive, because she hadn't felt their deaths in the Force, but not how badly they're hurt. She does her best to make sure they're stable and as comfortable as possible... which probably isn't very, unfortunately.

As she moves, she keeps a weather eye on Eralynn, though the fallen warlord doesn't look like she's going anywhere fast.

D9 EM--medicine for Sabine, Rav, Z... in case of a lucky roll maybe we can cheap out a little on stims :D Boost from medkit, trust boost as I think this still counts as a mission, +1 advantage: 3#1eP+2eA+2eB+3eD 3 successes, 1 advantage 0 successes, 1 advantage 1 failure, 3 advantage
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Results...

Sabine recovers 3 Wounds, 2 Strain. 1 stim for 5 + 1 stim for 4. 12 wounds and 2 strain healed, and I think she was 10 over threshold.
Rav recovers 0 wounds  and 2 strain. Pretty sure he was 6 over, so stim for 4 + stim for 3 should get him up with 7 wounds and 2 strain healed.
Tethys used all her stims! What a good little amateur medic

Z recovers 4 strain from the med check, and Tethys will pump him full of as many of his own stims as it takes to get him standing--2 for 9 wounds should do it, I think? If he wants to be up, of course. He's free to tease her later about going through his pockets while he was out of it. :P

Sabine woke up..... eerily chipper. "Oh hey, did we win? Is the bitch dead now?" She asked standing up, not even concerned about her own heavy breathing and the pain spreading out in her body.

"Lets hope so." Zane grumbled, as he made his own way into wakefulness, though a frown did decorate his lips soon after. "Has someone been in my pockets?" He asked as he began shuffling around, he couldn't find his flask anywhere.

Rav woke up and promptly threw up all over floor. The retching and heaving lasted a minute or so. When he tried to lift himself up it became immediately apparent that he was missing something. A stream of invective flew out in his native language. He looked over at where his arm should be, and then where it was.

"Fuck's sake. I need that."

Having finally found his flask from where it had been set on the ground beside him, Zane brought it to his lips for a drink, his eyes drawn to Rav and his movement.

"I think you need this more then me." He murmured, offering the flask in the wolfman's direction, before checking to make sure everyone else had all their pieces.

"You think they can sew it back on?" Z asked after a moment.

"Thanks Zanebry. Not gonna argue." He took a hit, the alcohol merging with the shock.

"Man. That's good." Looking at the ruined stump he thought carefully for a bit. "Gonna need a big needle. Doc'll manage. It's probably just like welding. Am I rambling? I think I'm rambling."

He fished into his pocket for his second flask, before taking a sip. It was then offered towards Sabine. "Doctor welding should work." Zane murmured struggling to his feet and walking over to fetch Rav his arm.

Depositing the limb next to the wolfman he looked around the battlefield. "I think I see it over there, want me to get it for you?"

Eralynn coughed up more blood and gazed at Sabine. "That blade was forged for vengeance. It is more than some toy," she stated. Her face was a complete mess from her wounds and tears but her body was too weak to clean herself up. "Or will you raise it against Clan Kryze?"

Sabine's drug fueled mind cleared for a brief moment, as she replied in Mando'a. "The Kryze exiled my father, made my life hell, and murdered a leader I respected. I'll make sure it's well oiled."
