Niall had come as soon as he'd gotten the alert, but it was far too late, of course.

He approached the building, and more importantly, the building security. "Captain Niall Organa, Republic Military." He said, holding up his identification. "I received a report of an intruder."

The security staff, mostly Resistance fighters welcome the Republic officer. One spoke up, "We spotted an intruder but nothing seems to be missing, still better safe than sorry."

Z wasn't far behind, strolling up to Niall as he talked with the guards. He offered them a smile, and polite nod, before turning to the Captain. "Been here long?"

Niall nodded in acknowledgement, then turned to Z.

"Just got here." He said. "Looks like your hunch was right. I had some extra security assigned. They managed to catch a glimpse of someone, but not more than that."

He shared the security video footage he'd been sent.

OOC: Perception check by Zanebry to recognize is Average with a setback die.

"Excellent." Z replied with the flash of a grin. "Anything caught on camera? Or just seen by a guard?"

"Oh, and can we have a look at where they were spotted?"

Zanebry is pretty sure that it was the mystery woman who tried to offer him a job, like 90%, close enough probably.

"It's definitely a human woman." He murmured after a few moments of looking at the screen. "A new player though. None of our suspects match her measurements." Which was disappointing in its own way, he was hoping to see Captain Hurn here.

"Naturally, you would be able to tell that through a camera." Niall said dryly.

He looked around. "Let's go inside. Check around. Maybe we can figure out her movement pattern, entry and exit, that sort of thing." He gestured for the guards to lead the way.

"Don't blame me for your lack of study, Niall. Though if it makes you feel any better I could probably identify you through a camera as well." Z replied with a soft laugh. "Really though, whoever this woman is. She's the type to make a man drop a pipe when she bends over."

"Sounds like a plan." Zane said, stepping into line behind the others as they moved inside.

They show them to where the spotted the intruder, second floor, they suspect she may have come in by the roof. They have yet to find anything missing though.

"Do you know how long she was in the building?" Z asked, as he started to look over the area. Chances are, she didn't leave much in the way of clues, but one couldn't be sure, and he'd like to have a look for himself. There was the possibility that she had been successful, and no one here had noticed anything but her escape after all.

No one of security actually saw her leave, but they have checked the building and even the vault, which shows no sign of tampering as far as they know. Zanebry does find where she probably left, even flecks of blood, but they are smudged now from someone probably putting their hand on it inadvertently.

OOC: Found her exit and the bits of blood, but it looks like someone may have contaminated it putting their hand on it without knowing after the fact.

"Hmmm." Niall said. "Was she just checking it, and got spooked? Or was she after something that was destroyed? Or that we've missed?"

He turned to the guards. "There were researchers in here earlier." He said. "Do you know if they did an inventory?"

“Yep Doctor Rexa and a Jedi, they provided us with a list and moved some of the artifacts to the Republic Encampment. Said it was safer there, didn’t seem sacred so we didn’t stop them,” the resistance guard said.

He handed Niall a Datapad with the inventory, “This is what should be in the museum and vault. We checked and didn’t notice anything missing. Guess we can chalk one up for the good guys.”

"She left from here." Z murmured as he found the traces of blood on her extraction point. Likely a window from this height.

He'd cautiously take a look outside, perhaps hoping to catch sight of another patch of blood that went uncontaminated. He really didn't have anything to collect specimens with, but it might give him something new.

"Do you have a list of what the doctor and the jedi took as well?" Z asked, moving over to check the list, keeping his eyes open for a certain article.

They shrug and one said, "Uhh.. human women?"

There does not seem to be any other blood.

Niall's lips pressed together. "We should have the doctor and the Jedi do a second complete inventory. They undoubtedly have the best idea of what's here, and might see something we've missed. The camera logs should also be checked. Perhaps she saw the vault, and decided she couldn't open it... but it seems like a professional would have done a scouting run earlier. We'll see."

Carefully, Niall leaned forward, looking at the blood. He grimaced, looking at Z. "I don't imagine anything can be done with this?"

Z looked over the manifest one more time, hoping to notice the Hearldin Cipher among the items. Though something told him the Jedi and the doctor had likely removed it for safe keeping.

"Likely so." Z offered with a shake of his head. "if you want to take a sample though, feel free. We have some really talented medical staff at the base.Maybe they can put something together."

Niall grimaced. "I don't have anything on-hand. I'll put in a call."

He lifted his comm to his lips, calling in a request to HQ for a medtech or a science specialist to come out with a sample case to collect some blood.

The Cipher is on the list and is said to be in the vault currently. Specialists will be sent over to the Museum.

"Couldn't hurt." Z said, looking around. "Might be able to find out who we are dealing with."

Noticing the cipher was still there, Z was a bit relieved. Not that he much cared if they got it or not, but he really was curious what exactly they were after. Maybe he could get in to see it somehow?

Niall rubbed his hands together a moment, then sighed. "Guess we wait, then."

He gave Z a glance. "Any thoughts so far?"

"Not much to tell." Z replied thoughtfully. "Can't say for certain what she might of been after. Or where the blood came from."

"We might look for broken glass or something in the area. However she got cut it was superficial."

Searching around it looks like she may have cut herself on some debris while making her escape, a superficial injury for sure.
