Jace paced looking at the brutal terrain of the current theatre. There was a new guest in the tent, a representative from the Aznuri monks, her name is Mazakin, she calls herself Sister Mazakin. She arrived in the morning and the commander has invited her to the briefing.

OOC: Same as before, 2 Jedi representatives at most.

Sister Mazakin stood quietly with a playful smirk on her lips as she glanced at the strangers.

Word came down to Garth that he was the highest ranking pilot available to attend the meeting, he showed up with his datapad in hand, prepared to take detailed notes to pass on to Lieutenant Chase later.

When Sister Mazakin was introduced, Garth returned the smile, even as his left hand went to his new necklace.

"Evenin' Sister."

It was about then that his communicator beeped, apparently Chase was coming to the meeting, well, it would be rude to abandon a conversation...so Garth decided to stay as well.

Cole is present, as usual. The humidity has kept a thin sheen of sweat on his forehead.

Durasay stood, his armor draped by the thermal cloak, as though it was now a permanent feature of it. He was grateful for the vacuum sealing it had, based on the rumors of the nature of the Viridian Sea.

The Pantoran Senator watched the others, quiet for the time, as they waited for the mission to begin. He did find himself looking to the sister, curious about her monastic order.

Niall was there, although he appeared to be extremely deep in thought. His arms were crossed, and he stared blankly, his eyes vaguely downcast.

Chase spilled in, the air of the outer base coming in with her. Cup o' joe in hand she found a space to mingle in. Getting a bit too comfortable and familiar for these meetings.

Sergeant Sunshine (or Doughtnut, or Chipper, or Princess Bubbles, depending on who you asked), was in her spot, datapad in hand as she looked over notes. But she was frequently shooting glances to the Sister that were both curious and fascinated.

Aran stood as unobtrusively as possible next to Layne, and was succeeding pretty well. He had put himself forward as to go in to the meeting due to his increased awareness of the complexity of the situation. He thought of himself as the designated Padawan (he continued to forget that Layne, formidable though she was, was also technically not a Jedi).

He leaned closer to her, looking-but-not-looking at the monk. "Do you know anything about their traditions?"

"No I don't," she said with the tone of someone confused as to why she was asked the question.

“Alright before I get started, I wanted to make sure you give your people my personal congratulations for their actions in the Rygor Theater, even our civilian force went above and beyond in their duties. I could not be more proud of the team we have put together, or the effort they are putting forward,” he said with confidence.

“Now our current theater is filled with lots of unknowns, we need those filled in, the Aznuri sent out a distress and we answered. I will let Sister Mazakin fill in those gaps but after we sort out that mess we are advancing on the stronghold of Varo Kryze and putting an end to this conflict. So stay focused, the end is in sight and I know that our team will get us across the finish line.”

Sister Mazakin looked back and forth and then said in Huttese, “Greetings outlanders, I am Sister Mazakin of the Aznuri. We are humbled by your aid and hope that any suffering that is produced will be minimized. We have little offer but our thanks, and we hope that is enough.”

“My people have lost our home, a wayward Sister has turned her strength against us and brought allies of vagary with them. We are not familiar with these people, we live in peace in our temple, we fight only to defend ourselves and do not seek fame or glory. Only mastery of the self, mastery of the body, and mastery of the soul. Help us, and we shall strike at your enemies to repay the debts owed.”

As Mazakin started to speak, Garth opened up a translation app on his datapad and slipped some earphones in.

Lyseil perked up with interest as the Sister spoke in Huttese. It wasn't her strongest language, but it was widespread enough that she understood and spoke it well enough.

"Sister Mazakin, ma'm," she spoke up, unsure of what kind of respectful adress to use, but sticking with her usual charming smile, "what... what are these 'allies of vagary'?" Her Hutteese wasn't perfect, but it was functionable.

That seemed an easier question for her to understand. Leave it to the Jedi here to ask about what it could mean for one of the Sisters to become wayward.

"And here we could been saving people's lives instead," Chase muttered to herself in the corner. Arms crossed until she just shook her head. What was done was done but one last complaint to herself was something she didn't feel needed much holding back.

Standard scratch my back I scratch yours Chase left it to another, in this case Lyseil, to ask the obvious question.

She frowned and then said, “I mean savagery… they are older colonists we think who have lived far too long in and around the Blight. They are violent and savage, primitive but effective and many have been trained to know the Way.”

“We call them the Flesh-Stichers… they like to wear cloaks stitched from the flesh of their enemies. We are not familiar with their species though,” she responded as best she could in Huttese.

Lyseil paled a little, and shuddered obviously. And I thought Sand People were bad. Ugh... I think I might be sick...

She nodded, making notes of Mazakin's account. This was horrible. And this Blight thing... was this something Force-related, or was it something else, she wondered? Maybe they could find a way to fix it? The sergeant typed dutifully on her datapad, trying not to think of ending up as some barbarian's seasonal jacket.

"The Way?" Garth interjected from the back as he reached around to rub at his shoulder blades. That tattoo was fresh and still itchy.

“What you call the Force, I suppose,” she responded in Huttese.

“We do not see it as a separate thing, it is simply there and you either follow the Way or you do not.”

His suspicions confirmed, Garth nodded his thanks for the explanation and melted back into the background, adding another entry to his datapad.
