Busy as he was, Chase moved through the encampment in an effort to trace down their commander. Jace Malcom, he was a man that Chase originally signed up for. Stories about him, about what he's done for the Republic. Well, those are the kinda stories that tend to inspire hope. Even with the grain of salt that things are likely talked up more than they appear.

Jace was at his post with his staff looking over a tactical map and people were moving quickly at their tasks, frantic even.

Dressed in her standard fatigues Chase approached the table. Gaining his attention with an address, and a salute, "General Malcom, Sir." Then waited for his permission to continue.

[I did some basic research to be sure it's an appropriate method of address to start this off, of course I could have easily missed some things. Do let me know if there's anything you feel I should fix.]

He chuckled briefly, “Just Commander, what can I do for you Chase. Been a bad day, we lost contact with our folks at Garig Port Town and Valiant Star has detected a massive explosion in that vicinity. I am already prepping for the worst.”

"That's.." Chase shook her head, "There was a report filed the other day from my recon. I came to apologize for my conduct, even if I'm not sorry about stepping on toes in the briefings. What I've said needed to be said but this..." chase paused to recollect her thoughts on the matter.

"Yesterday, when my craft went down after we encountered that Imperial Craft I.. saw something. It doesn't make sense but I felt something evil was coming and.. well, Sir, I'd be willing to bet my ship that the Empire is behind this somehow."

“If the Imps hit us… well, let’s get Intelligence before we start fanning the rumor mill. Did you identify this Imperial craft?” he asked.

"There were no identifying markers, but it was Imperial make," Chase said. "I've seen enough of those to last me two lifetimes."

“Well between you and your wingmate, we have good telemetry data, but still the Blight is a big place. Just glad you got out of that mess in one peace,” he said looking at a Datapad placed in his hands.

"I'm glad he didn't keep coming after us when I went down, had it gone any other way that situation coulda gone real bad real fast," Chase said. "Lucky as it is, I'm ready to get back into it as soon as we've got me a bird."

“Oh you will get one, I am getting the feeling we are going to need you sooner than later,” he said.

"You can count on me commander," Chase offered a salute.

"I won't keep you from the war any longer sir, do you have need of me before I go?"

"Nothing yet, just be ready, this is going to get ugly fast," he said looking at the datapad.

"I'll be ready, whatever comes," Chase said, offering a quick salute before making way for him to get back to his work.
