There was a beep and Veeone looked down at the medical scanner on his left arm.

"I am detecting increased pulse, blood pressure and respiration in Patient Zero Zero One. Do you require a sedative?"

"Do you have it in like a pill form so I can take it later?"

[V1-V0]

"Roger, roger. This facility will have such material medication in stock. One moment Patient Zero Zero One."

With a whirr of motors he moved off to the medication store to requisition such a sedative.

For a moment, Layne considered waiting. Free drugs could be fun, after all.

But no. Instead, she used the opportunity to get the hell out of there, away from the crazy droid.

A few moments later Veeone returned carrying a single white pill. Not finding Layne immediately it began a search of the area, which included lifting empty mattresses and looking under them.

"Veeone cannot find Patient Zero Zero One. Diagnosing situation . . . . . . . . . . . . THAT DOES NOT COMPUTE! Submitting capture and detain order for Patient Zero Zero One, risk of Lankarian Swamp Fever epidemic within the base . . . . . . . . . order submitted."


Veeone beeped softly and moved off to inventory the spare kolto tanks as the Medic on duty binned the detain order with a muttering of 'It's Lunkarian you titanium dolt and only Trandoshans can catch it.'.
