"I do!" she beamed happily. "It's always great fun to learn new things, and it's not always I learn something like dancing. At least, not since the Academy-days." Lyseil laughed softly and moved out of his arms in a smooth motion, still holding onto his hand.

"As you say; you meet people and you learn new things. Not that I'm really surprised you're the kind to sneak out to a place like this, hm?"

"and what kind is it that you think I am Miss Panteer?" He asked, his voice low as he drew closer to her his lips quirked up at the edges.

"Well, you did kind of admit to being a smuggler and a man who gets involved in the shady stuff, sooo... it kind of makes sense you'd sneak out to a dangerous place like a jizz-bar in the middle of the desert that also happens to be in a warzone," she chuckled playfully.

Jax chuckled a bit at that "my my Lyseil you make it sound as if I am a lawless scoundrel. Your teachers at that select academy of yours would be aghast to see you dancing with such a man. If that was all I was." He finished with a sly twist to his lips.

"Maaaybe?" she chuckled playfully. "They probably would be though - the locale, the clientele, they'd be gasping for weeks!"

Lyseil stepped closer to Jax as they danced. "But... I think you might one of those scoundrel types with a heart of gold? Otherwise you wouldn't be out here, fighting for there people, right?"

Her step into him was well timed as the band had finished and switched to a much slower number. Jax's hand slid in smoothly to her lower back and he gently pulled her closer.

He looked down at her and quirked an eyebrow "Well gold may be a bit much a heart of silver maybe?" He said with a little chuckle "when the chips are down and it really matters I like to think I do the right thing yes-yes." He finished his smooth voice took on a bit of a teasing quality as he mimicked her.

Him copying her made her giggle softly.

"Is that so? Is that why I volunteered to come here, even when you had given up on a military-life?" she inquired curiously.

Well damn that was cute he thought with a smile as he listened to her talk.

He considered for a moment "it was a part of it at first, part of it was money if I'm being honest. But as I've been here seeing the conditions they are in, getting to know some of the locals, I feel for them. I want to help finish this." He spoke with a small smile on his face and looked Lyseil in the eye as he talked.

"I'm glad to hear that, Jax... that it's not just about the money." She seemed almost a little relieved to hear that. He's probably not all bad! Just running with a bad crowd, maybe?

"Do you think you'd ever go back to it? The Republic, I mean?"

[Zanebry Varliss]

It seemed the kid had left, which was well enough. He has too young to be hanging around places like this anyways.

Making his way to the bar, he ordered another drink. No reason not to enjoy the rest of the night. Even if he had just seen what could be the being named Hydra, and a potential member of the Star Cabal in one place.

"I'm glad to hear that, Jax... that it's not just about the money." She seemed almost a little relieved to hear that. He's probably not all bad! Just running with a bad crowd, maybe?

"Do you think you'd ever go back to it? The Republic, I mean?"

"Hey a man has to make a living, even if he wants to do the right thing. The Midnight won't stay space worthy on honor and good intentions alone." He said chuckling

He smiled wistfully "you mean the military? I'd say probably not. I think those days are fully behind me, I only regret a few things" Well one big thing "but I've grown to value my freedom and independence too much."

"What about you Sergeant Sunshine? You think you're going to make a lifelong career out of this?"

"A military career? Hardly!" she chuckled and shook her head. "No, I don't really like this sort of thing, to be honest; fighting and war. After this, I'm gonna go home since I haven't been home in a while, and after that... well, I'm gonna get my degree."

Lyseil didn't mind the nickname of sergeant sunshine at all.

"If something like this happened again though... I don't know, maybe I'd focus more on the humanitarian aid, or something?"

Jax nodded "Well that sounds like a pretty good plan then. Maybe next time I see you after all this I'll be calling you Dr. Panteer." He says with a warm smile.

Jax enters Lyseil into a spin and when she returns he dips her low his face inches from hers "My offer for dinner sometime still stands." He says before returning to an upright dancing posture.

"I like the sound of Dr. Panteer," she admitted with a playful grin, which soon turned into a more surprised expression as they went in for a spin and a dip.

"... Well... depends on what sort places you have in mind, out here in a warzone?"

[Jax Dolross]

"Well I'm certain there are some local places that are still open, perhaps after we liberate this city we try some of the local cuisine." He smiled at her "no pressure though, you're right this planet is a war zone there's lots of stuff going on. Dinner with a scoundrel such as myself likely won't make the top of your priority list princess." His tone was teasing but not malicious and the whole time he wore a playful grin.

"That depends," she mused, her tone light and friendly. "I do like trying local cuisines, so that is a tempting offer."

She glanced off to the side briefly before looking back to Jax. "But who knows, I might have to worry about jealous lady-friends?"

[Jax Dolross]

Jax's head tilted to the side a little. "From me? Shouldn't be a problem. Azura's a bit over protective sometimes but we aren't together or anything. I don't think you'd have anything to worry about." He said with an open smile that showed off his pearly whites.

"Are you sure?" Lyseil smirked. "I've seen Nexu cats less territorial than her."

[Jax Dolross]

Jax chuckled "she can be a bit intense at times but I promise there shouldn't be any problems." Jax said as they danced their bodies close together "and what of you Lyseil? Is there any Alderaanian prince back home whose honor I'll besmirch by taking you out." he gave her a mischievous grin "I'd hate to be challenged to a duel next time I visit the planet."

"My older brother would act over-protective if he knew," Lyseil chuckled. "And well, he would certainly begin to question you about all sorts of things. Not recommended. Don't think anyone would challenge you to a duel for besmirching my honor, though."

[Jax Dolross]

"Good brother then, its nice to have people care about you even if they take it too far sometimes. I suppose I'm not the type of man who your family would be excited to see with their little princess." he laughs but then gives her an appraising look "Though something tells me you are quite capable of taking care of yourself."

They spun round and round for a bit longer the night a blur of sights and sounds laughter and music. Eventually though the band finished and Jax could feel his tiredness setting in. "Well Lyseil I must be getting too old for late nights like this. I am tired and it is getting late." He separated from her but in traditional fashion he pulled her hand up to his lips and gently pressed his lips into the back of it. "Thank you for a lovely evening Miss Panteer. You are a certainly a delight, I look forward to doing it again."

he lowered his voice for their ears only "Are you finished as well? I could escort you back to base? This area isn't quite safe yet and it is quite late."

She chuckled softy. "What can I say? My family are mostly nice people, though most non-Alderaanians would probably find them to be very snobbish. But yes, I'm pretty capable... you don't spend time on archaelogical digs without learning to become pretty self-sufficient!"

The Panteer enjoyed the last moments of the dance, but she too was tired after a long day. "Hah, it's them old bones?" she teased innocently with a small laugh. "It's ok, it's past bedtime for little girls as well. Who knows... there might be another opportunities for a dance again in the future." The chivalrous kiss on the hand she found added a nice touch - maybe he knew a thing or two about Alderaanian-manners, Lyseil wondered, as she curtsies in response to show her thanks for the dance.

"Safety in numbers, yes-yes? Let's head back to base."

"Sounds like a plan, I'd hate to hear something bad happened to you if I could possibly prevent it." he extended his arm for her to take "Is this still the traditional way for one to escort a lady? Its been a few years since I've escorted an Alderaanian noble woman." he said in a half joke as they walked to the exit of the club.

[Zanebry Varliss]

"Leaving without me?" Zanebry asked, as he approached the pair on quiet feet. the faint scent of perfume was mixed with his cologne, attesting to the fact he had found at least one other dance partner.

Jax smiles "I wasn't sure where you'd disappeared off to but it seems you've done alright in our absence."
