Metropolitan (Day 5 Mid Afternoon, trash bazaar)

For the second day in a row Z made his way through the sewers under Rygor, though this time he has another person in tow.

"It's not far now." Zane said calmly, glancing towards Garth. He looked rather out of place in the dirty surroundings, but people seemed to give eat when we walked by, for one reason or another.

"Man, no wonder the Mando haven't shut this place down...damn but it stinks. I'd ask how ya found this place, but ah think the less ah know the better."

Garth commented as he breathed through his mouth trying to avoid the worst of the smells.

"You visit enough places, you learn all kinds of interesting things, one of those is how to find places like this." Z replied not seeming to mind the stench, honestly in comparison to parts of Nar Shaddaa, it was nothing to complain about.

"Here we are." Zan moments later as they rounded a bend in the tunnel, and arrived at what looked like a dead end. Approaching a section of what looked like tunnel wall, he knocked on a portion, and a small peephole slid open. Garth couldn't see what Zane showed the man, but soon enough a piece of wall cracked open revealing a door, and the guard holding it open ushered the pair inside. "Come along." Berry offered with a friendly smile, gesturing for the pilot to follow him.

Garth had seen places like this before....in the movies, and when he stepped inside spread his arms wide, expecting to get thoroughly frisked.

Surprisingly the pilot didn't get frisked, though Z did wave him over to a table where he handed over his weapons, well most of them. "They work on the honor system here." He explained. "They really don't expect you to give up everything, but if you break the rules and draw something... there are consequences."

"Maybe we should've allied with this lot? They're more civilized than some I've met on this campaign." Garth jokes as he complies and hands over his standard issue sidearm.

Looking around, his eyes fall on a temperature controlling cloak, although it's a little small for his frame. "Something like that, definitely."

"This lot really doesn't do alliances." He offered with a soft chuckle. "You're right about the lack of civilized folk we've meet here though. I mean there are some, but it seems like the more I hear, the more I'm disappointed."

"Well, go have a look." Z encouraged, as the man's eyes landed on the thermal cloak. There were a wide varieties of sellers in the cavernous space, after all. "We're in no hurry."

Lyseil had picked scrounged up some rags and cheap cloth to cover her regular clothes underneath. As much as she felt secure with her armored uniform, she didn't want to risk being seen in it here, and she had covered up her head and a majority of her face with a scarf, with her eyes shielded by her goggles.

She had heard that the sewers was used as secret passageways and safelines by the resistance and other locals... so perhaps she could get some first-hand info on the place, or maybe find someone who had mapped it? It could be vital info for the Republic military to maybe have more knowledge of the sewers.

OOC: Skullduggery or Survival to map out the sewers at Average but a setback due to trying to avoid any patrols.

Lyseil had mapped out locations before, just not sewers... but she managed herself quite well!

Armed with a keen mind, field experience, and her datapad, she was ready! "Princess Powers: Go!" she whispered cheerfully to herself to psyche herself up... and got to work!

Well she stumbled on a nest of Jawas, well it’s a camp really but they scurry over surrounding her with things to sell her… hydro-spoons, busted hats, hats with clocks, hydro-clocks… everything that one could need.

Oh hey! Jawas! Lyseil brightened, having met plenty of those little people on Tatooine too.

"Hi-hi-hi," she greeted in Basic, but keeping the tone of Jawaese chatter. Were these part of the Resistance too?

"Looking for information. We can trade-trade?"

Garth was oblivious to the disguised sergeant and instead spent his time inspecting the cloaks.

"Hmmm. I like this style, but it's not mah size? Any chance ya could make it happen?"

((Ooc -fluff reasoning for not having cloak for upcoming event))

“You trade-trade, you buy-buy spoon?” one said.

Another jostled forward, “No… droid head, good droid head, you buy?”

“I have blaster, no trigger… still good, look dangerous, you buy?” another added.

Oooh. Jawas... she chuckled a little ruefully. So insistent!

That droid head was interesting though! It could still have all sorts of things in there!

"Ooo good droid head?" she hunched down to the jawa's height to get a better look. "Where you find-find it?"

“There was boom and the metal-mandos shot it good, pow pow… me take bring here, good head use as bowl! Spare parts. Extra head?” the Jawa replied.

“100 credits.”

Z didn't notice either on their walk to their destination, though he did get a inkling something was off about one of the inhabitants, they passed along the way... There was something familiar about the way they walked. He dismissed it though and went along his way.

"It's likely better ti get any alterations done on base." Z said, as he looked the garment over. "Easier to collect it there then here."

Oooh! That could be interesting!

Sadly, Lyseil didn't have 100 credits on her! But she did have other things that might be of interest to the Jawas...

"I have items to trade, in addition to credits? Booms? Medicine? Tools?" She tried to gauge what interested them the most.

---

Lyseil doesn't have 100 credits on her (currently 85). Can offer them a stun grenade (75), a glow-rod (10) and a breath mask (25), or a a basic medpack (100)? Or possible a stim or two?

"Yeah, yer probably right. Ah'd likely get lost if ah tried t' come back an' pick it up later anyway." Garth agrees as he dials up the amount on his credchip.

"200 plus the service fee yeah?" He checks as he holds forth the chit indicating a 220 credit transfer.

The Jawa wanted the glow-stick and the mask. “You give and I give, we both get!”

"We both get!" she exclaimed happily, giving the jawa her spare glow rod and second breather-mask. She hoped the little Jawa would have good use for it against the Mandalorians. Once the droid head was in her hands, she slipped it into her backpack.

"You been here long-long? See many metal-mandos?"

---

-1 Glow rod and -1 Breath mask for one shiny droid head!

"Seems right to me." z replied, and the nod from the merchant confirmed it. "Anything else you need while we're down here? Or maybe something you want to take a look at?" He glanced around the area. "As you can see, they have a bit of everything."

"They made you go down here?" How horrid, to force these kind-hearted sentients into the sewer.

"Metal-Mandos give you much trouble? They come down here sonetimes, yes-yes? But not to trade-trade?"

“We give them no trouble, they no trouble us. No mind, lots of bombs and fighting, we stay down here, safe-safe,” the Jawa replied in his speedy tongue.
