Beef with mushrooms. Or something of that flavour, but Oddyn didn't mind. Today was a good day for someone else to be hungry. He needed all those synthetic proteins to keep himself running.

Dropping the tray on a table by the window, he started to chomp it while observing the sea of treetops outside.

A red-haired figure slipped into the seat across from him, smiling a little. "You're looking better than the last time I saw you, Oddyn."

"That's like saying I am prettier than a Hutt." He laughed. "But it's true. Good to see you in one piece. Given the disruptor shootout we've been through, that's even literal."

She smiled at that. "Yeah... I didn't get hit at all... A bit surprising, but I guess you two were drawing attention a little more."

"Trust the guy calling other Mando'ade bad names to steal the fireworks show." He chuckled with some unease as he remembered something. "Sabine didn't get away lightly either. Yunda, however, did."

She sighed and shook her head, her lips tightening. "I know. If I'd just stayed put and shot, it might have been different."

"Then again, disruptors. I would not have lived through another shot. In fact, the fact that I do I owe mostly to you, from what I got out of medical personnel." He found her eyes to stare into them, his lips thinning into a more serious expression. His cyberhand put the spork away."There's a debt here to be repaid, Luth."

"Oh... Yes, well... It was a long shot, whether I could do it at all. It could have gone very wrong," she shook her head.

"Matters of life and death are like that. I wouldn't have minded dying there but as I've lived thanks to you there is an oath. If you ever need to invoke this oath and call upon me, do not hesitate." He kept his words up-to-point, without dramatic exaggeration.

She paused, her lips pressing into a line and eyebrows drawing in in an expression both thoughtful and concerned. Then a gentle nod. "All right. I'll keep it in mind."

The Mando'ad nodded firmly and that was the end of that line of talk. He gestured with his chin toward the empty space before her at the table. "Not your time to fill the boots?"

She slid out the chair and settled into it. "Not this morning. I have an op later."

He raised a brow, looking her over. "Trauma or condition?"

"Wait..." Her brows furrowed. "What do you mean when you say that?"

"What?" He was confused for a moment. "Haili cetar'ir? I was asking if you're gonna eat something. This beef ain't bad." He rubbed his head. "I thought you were talking about a medical operation. That's a reason to fast."

"Oh! That turn of phrase sounds like you're asking if I'm on-duty," she said, shaking her head. "Sorry, I should've asked."

"I guess when I speak Basic, it's still Mandalorian." He chuckled. "So?" He gestured toward the food.

"Good times with idioms," she quipped with a smile, then glanced at the food. "Oh... yeah, eating would probably be a good idea..."

He rotated his plate for the untouched part of the meal to be facing her. "Now that I think about it, Mando'a has quite a few. The idioms."

She accepted a couple of bites from it. "Thanks. Like what are some others?"

"If someone is an idiot you say that his brain cells are lonely." He smirked.

She couldn't help but burst out laughing at that. "I love it."

He loved the language too, as Resol'nare commanded. "For a self-important buffoon, it is 'all helmet, no head'."

She nodded with a smirk. "I can think of a few people that would apply to."

"And there's a Keldabe kiss. Keldabe is our capital on Mandalore." He pause with a smirk. "And the expression means a headbutt with helmet on."
