Her lips twitch again and she sits up a little straighter, as if recovering some distance--or dignity?--in an intangible way. "I cannot say that either 'cute' or 'sexy' is quite the way I seek to present myself. As far as I have any intentions there at all, in any case. But no, not a disappointment. Just... surprising." She reaches to retrieve her glass from the table, twirling the stem gently between her fingers.

"This other woman... the Jedi. What was she like? Unless that's not for a comrade in arms to know."

It was reactions like that, which proved his point, at least in Z's mind. Tethys Carrack was most definitely cute. "I imagine you were aiming for dignified?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he let his hand slip from her arm. The sharing of scars had them likely seated a bit closer then when the first took their seats.

"Well, I'm glad its for disappointing, and I hope it's a bit of a happy surprise." He let his eyes drift towards her face. "I suppose since you have some interest in being more then just a comrade in arms, I can share."

"She was an attractive woman, as you can imagine, tall and a bit willowy much like you. Dignified, and purposeful as well." His lips quirked into a half smile. "Quite cute too, though in a different way. She could be a bit awkward? If that makes any sense. She helped me see some of the better parts of myself." He loved her more then a little for that last part. "I hope you dont mind that I left out her name."

"Something like that," Tethys admits in response to his comment about looking dignified. Dignity is a funny thing, though, hard to maintain once someone knows you're trying to do it.

"Of course. I didn't expect a name. But I was curious. That is what Jedi try to do, at our best--help people see what is good in themselves, and in others," she says quietly. "I'm glad she could do that for you, even if her method was a little... unorthodox." She looks as if she's not quite sure whether to laugh or frown, and finally just shakes her head, smiling slightly.

"I'll be sure not to tell anyone how cute you really are then, Miss Carrack." Zane replied, he wouldn't want to damage her reputation after all. Dignity was a hard thing to maintain after all.

"I dont know it becoming my lover was actually part of her method, it seemed to be more a byproduct of the circumstances." He raised an eyebrow a sly smile making it's way into his lips. "Unless you think sex reminds me of how good of a man I can be?" His tone turned teasing. "I'm not quite sure what we should do if that's the case."

She can't suppress a quiet snort of laughter at that. "There are usually many means to one end. We'll simply have to hope this is one of those cases."

He turned more fully towards her, letting his arm set on the back of the couch, slightly behind her. "Miss Carrack, I think you might just have too much faith in my good nature."

"But I'll let you experiment if you like, just not tonight." He offered with a slight smile, as she shifted to place his back onto the couch once again. "I'm tired, half drunk, and on a few too many painkillers, and more then a little on edge. I'm liable to try to kiss you at any moment. So it would probably be a good idea if you didnt linger."

Tethys raises an eyebrow, sliding forward a little toward the edge of the couch cushion as she does so. "That is a very considerate warning, Mr. Varliss. I'll take the hint, and avoid taking advantage of you in your weakened state."

She floats lightly to her feet, the wry curve of her lips softening as she turns toward him. "You shouldn't get up--I can see myself out. You have more than earned a proper rest."

"Oh, I wouldn't mind a little being taken advantage of." Zane replied with a wolfish grin, and a playful wink. "But I'm quite sure that's not what you meant."

As she rose to her feet he offered forward his hand. "Could I over the lady, a kiss on her hand in way of proper good night? If you're going to insist I dont gove you a escort?"

She cocks one eyebrow, considering. "If it will keep you from walking on that leg..." ...and with a sidelong look of great forbearance she extends one long, slender hand toward his.

He chuckled softly at her response, before gently taking her slender hand in his, and bringing it to his lips in a tender kiss. "Have a wonderful evening, Miss Carrack."

"Thank you for coming to check in on me." He finished as he released her hand from his grip.

"It's the least I could do for a comrade in arms." And with a last obscurely mischievous half-smile, she turns and makes her way out.
