"A man named Janus Sol purchased me when I was five or six." he explained. "I was the last of a number of slaves he owned throughout his career as a hunter. Beyond menial tasks, he used us as bait to lure various creatures into his traps. I lasted longer than any of my predecessors and eventually turned the tables on my master."

"I've made peace with it all, for the most part." he shrugged. "But, I do find dealing with authority difficult sometimes. And, the word 'master' does associate with unpleasant thoughts, even when it's used with a different definition."

"So am I." he nodded. Looking over the Turtle, he asked, "You're an engineer?"

''You could say that, yes'' she pointed the core of the ship

''I just made cricial repairs to the core and frame. The Turtle is still heavily damaged but it is now repairable, at least''

[Galen Sol]

"That's good." he nodded. "I only know the ship by reputation, and from occasionally being docked near the Starcross. But, I imagine the more operable ships we have, the better."

[Baesal Zyn]

She was silent for a moment before finally speaking up

"Yeah...as long as they don't cause more problems."

[Galen Sol]

"Let's hope." he nodded. "What is your impression of the situation on Bankor so far?"

[Baesal Zyn]

"It is a mess...but I am not verse enough in war to know if it is a mess by design or nature.''

She frowns

"At one point you start to be wary of coincidences"

[Galen Sol]

"I'm sure Lyshea would say something about destiny." he shrugged. "She actually did say something along those lines when she suggested I come here. Regardless, I've seen enough so far to feel this was the right decision."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Yes...but we must not let the war narrative blind us.'' she frowns

''Something is not right''

[Galen Sol]

"True. But, strongarming locals into being suicide bombers, and baiting us with them, is enough to make me want to help."

[Baesal Zyn]

''We will have to trust in the force'' se admitted

[Galen Sol]

"And, each other." he added. "I'm not very mechanical, but if I can help with anything, let me know."

She chuckled

''Sure...and let me know if you need anything done''

[Galen Sol]

"Well, this ship needs you more than I do." he looked the wreck over again. "But, I may ask you some questions about my lightsaber sometime."

[Baesal Zyn]

She rolled her eyes

''Of course you have a lighsaber''

[Galen Sol]

"I found it after a crash on Nar Shaddaa and reforged it." he explained. "But, it feels... off. I've taken enough of your time, though. I hope your day is fruitful."

[Baesal Zyn]

"It feels off because it is not yours, not truly. Jedi usually go on a quest to find a crystal that calls to then. Force alchemy can craft one that reflects the users personality."

She scratched her forehead

"And that is only the crystal...crafting the hilt is also highly personal. Perhaps you should try to return it and Master Mersl can help you find one that will truly be an extension of yourself?"

[Galen Sol]

He nodded. "That may be best. Reforging it was a personal endeavor and a learning experience, but I can feel echoes of it's previous owner. I don't understand that enough to address that appropriately, though I would like to,"

[Baesal Zyn]

''Have you tried communing with it?'' she asked

[Galen Sol]

"I'm not very good at meditation." he admitted. "Lyshea has tried to teach me, but I don't think I understand it."

[Baesal Zyn]

''Well...me neither but you lose nothing by trying''

[Galen Sol]

"Then, I'll keep trying." he smiled. "Thank you."

''Have your master help you with it...I suspect it will a growing opportunity for her as well''

[Galen Sol]

"Not my master." he corrected. "A mentor and a friend, who has tried to help me with this. I'll figure it out."
