[Sabine Kelborn]

Sabine hefted her gun as she moved into the hangar, looking for an alien who has become her friends through forge by fire. Or so she thought at least. "Specialist Devaroo? Are you here?"

[Rav Devaroo]

A raised voice over by the ranks of spitfires might draw her attention. Soon a frustrated growl was followed by the sound of a metallic clank. A moment later a number 14H hydrospanner tumbled past.

"Jenkins! The Doc's goat could weld a better seam than this. I'm gonna write to that academy on Ord Mantell and ask why they got a Monkey Lizard training their guys!"

A dejected Jenkins slunk away quietly as the sound of welding began.

[Sabine Kelborn]

Sabine observed the flying tool, then the kicked out young mechanic. "Greetings. Did you disarm the bombs by scowling at them?" There was admiration in her voice.

[Rav Devaroo]

"Huh?"

Rav wheeled himself out from under the Spitfire and raised his goggles. He was ready to chew out a new recruit but looked relieved when he saw it was Sabine.

"Oh hey. Sure. That's the ol' engineering magic they don't teach the young uns these days.". He flashed a toothy grin.

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Mhm. Do you need this... thingie, or did you throw it away cause it was taking up space?" She gestured towards the hydro spanner turbo.

[Rav Devaroo]

Rav shrugged. "That's a 14H. I was using it to test Jenkins' reflexes because he was supposed to bring a 13C. Kids these days."

There was a large patch of oil on the right knee of his coveralls and a hand print on his chest. With little ceremony he rolled up to his feet and dusted himself off a bit. "So. We saved the city. Nice shooting last night."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Ah good. Did he get hit?" She asked, ready to be disappointed.

"And thanks. You did the important job, I just disassembled some cheap tin cans. Too bad the Executor droid got away." She referred to an old holoflick about a time traveling murder droid. "You seem handy with the tools. Erm.. former tools? Was hoping you could help me out fine tuning my blaster a bit."

[Rav Devaroo]

The wolfman chuckled, an odd raspy sound. "Jenkins makes dumb mistakes but he's got reflexes. But yeah, I still can't believe that damn murderbot managed to take out all of my tools. At least noone got blown up."

His eyes flicked to the Paladin.

"That's a nice piece of kit. Where'd you get it?"

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Reflexes sound good when hydro spanners are flying at you." She gave a solemn nod, before chuckling.

"It's been a gift for my promotion to Sergeant... bit of an overkill, but I'm not complaining." She pulled the blaster forward, so the mechanic could observe it better.

[Rav Devaroo]

"Oh yeah? That's quite the gift. These things are on a limited production run."

He leaned in to look more closely at the weapon. It was in good order and fine condition.

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Tell me about it..." She felt slightly self-conscious... both for the rare weapon, and it's condition. "I managed to snag a customized grip for it, but I think a few tweaks might improve my accuracy?"

[Rav Devaroo]

"So, you gonna tell me the story or...?". He moved over to take a closer look at the handle. Replacing his goggles he made a few mental calculations before removing them again.

"Yeah, I think you're right."

[V1-V0]

A sooty and blasted droid returned to the hangar. There was still a few wisps of smoke coming off it's armour plate in places. It moved to report to the hangar officer for the watch.

"Veeone reports damage to outer plating due to explosive civilian. Performance reduced by sixty one point one one percent. Regretfully reports repair mission aborted due to threat of more explosive civilians. Submits self for repair at time designated by Chief Engineer on Duty. Requests Padawan Zyn or Specialist Devaroo due to non standard design of prototype chassis."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"So, you gonna tell me the story or...?". He moved over to take a closer look at the handle. Replacing his goggles he made a few mental calculations before removing them again.

"Yeah, I think you're right."

"The strange thing is it's not much of a story. Been offered the guard, mentioned a possible opening in the Senate Guard down the line.. if I joined in here? I figure they might have thought my heritage would give them some help here." She shrugged, then noticed the droid come in.

"Explosive civilian? Any other casualties besides yourself V1?"

[V1-V0]

"Veeone must report operatives Jax Dolross and Filo Ordo were also caught in the blast. Both are injured, Operative Dolross the most severely. Veeone administered emergency medical assistance to both and called in medical evacuation for both operatives."

It continued to smoke slightly.

[Rav Devaroo]

"Ah crap, I knew this was likely. Damn Mandos targeting civilians. Where's the freakin' honour in that?!" He moved over to V1 and started inspecting the damage.

"61% huh? Any impaired critical functions?"

[V1-V0]

"All cognitive functions are intact. Damage is to armour plate and redundant systems. Performance evaluation is in regards to combat efficiency."

There was a loud whirring of servos as Veeone tested every joint and attached motor.

"Left anterior hydraulic line on left leg is showing loss of pressure and right elbow is suffering thirteen point six nine percent lack of rotation range due to armour damage in that area."

"Ho boy, that's a nice piece of shrapnel buried in your...ah, what is that on a droid...lower back area. Yeah, there. I guess at least you don't need to sit down."

Rav winked at Sabine and carried on with his inspection until his was satisfied.

"Okay, let's get you over to the workbenches buddy."

[V1-V0]

Veeone clanked over to the appropriate area and place his carried gear down so it wouldn't get in the way of the repair tech.

[Sabine Kelborn]

Sabine winked back, and followed the mechanic. “If you need something lifted, I am happy to help.”

[Rav Devaroo]

"Sabine. Get your gun up on that bench and start running a few scans of your grip. I'll see if I can fix it up for you. I'll need some cash to cover parts is all."

Right. The battle droid.

Rav pulled his googles on and looked over the damage to Veeone's chassis.

"Okay, nothing that can't be fixed with enough time. Let's get to work then Sabine."

A mechanics montage ensued...

"Anterior hydraulic line reports pressure restored. Rotating elbow joint now."

With the usual accompanying whirr, Veeone did just that.

"Performance no longer impaired. Armour plate still compromised in several places, self repair protocols initiated."

[Rav Devaroo]

"You're welcome Veeone. That's the worst of it at least." He looked over at Sabine.

"Alright, let's look at that pea-shooter of yours." Rav moved over to the work bench the Paladin was resting on and admired it a moment.

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Glad you're doing better, Specialist V1. Your efforts are appreciated." She saluted the droid.

"Specialist, peashooter?! That one's beneath you!"

[Rav Devaroo]

A raspy chuckle came from Rav's direction. "You know I'm just jealous. Okay get over here and she me how you hold the damn thing."
