"And? Anything interesting?" She looked at it again, stepping closer... kind of looking like she wanted to reach out for it. "How do you access it?"

''It is very complicated, I am not always able to do it.'' A humbling thing if not so frustrating

''It contains information about the old Rakatan Empire...and a few of their devices that should perhaps remain secret''

"So, sciencey stuff, rather than reaching out through the force to open it up or something?" she looked toward Baesal. "You said you've kept this hidden. From everyone?"

''Yup, aside from Moyr back when I found it''

She closed her hands around the egg

Somewhere in the back of the hanger Rav was working away on his new tool kit. It took up his full attention so he had no clue that the two Jedi were discussing matters of galactic import.

Crafting simple tools (Mechanics tools to replace the ones destroyed by destructor bot). Easy check. Base time 2 hours. Destiny flip.

Successes reduce time to one hour, but one slot anyway. Use two advantages for 2 * Lightweight: Reduce Encumbrance of the gadget by 1 to a minimum of 1. Base encumbrance is 4 so reduced to 2.

Outcome: Rav builds an Enc 2 Mechanic's toolkit to replace the tools that were destroyed.

"Well, it's not like I haven't kept bigger secrets of my own. Maybe the Sith part of us will never quite go away."

''Heh well, since I learned a few things about you and the dark place we'll visit I thought it would be fair if I shared some of my secrets as well''

"Well, I still have some secrets besides that one, I think. But none as immediate or dangerous as that one."

She smiled as she put the egg back

''That is understandable. Still, I trust you with mine''

"I still have a high level Sith ally," she said casually, almost but not quite like she was joking. "Oh and I smuggle spice."

''Huh-huh'' she said nodding before lowering your voice in a conspiratorial fashion

''I hear you also make great soup''

She rolled her eyes. "I didn't *make* the soup. I was just serving it. Something about humility and helping the poor or whatever."

''Perhaps it was about learing about them too...'' she ventured

"You do realize I've been poor my whole life, right?"

''So was I...but everyone as a story, no?''

"You don't really get many stories serving soup to people who have lost everything. They're too jaded to tell you their troubles."

''I see.''

She moved to re-open the door

''Still, perhaps they would benefit from talking with you. You can very well be an inspiration for most of them''

"If I'm what they have to look to for inspiration, the universe is doomed."

''You are too hard on yourself'' she replied

''You are rough around the edges...very, very rough...but indeed are an inspiration. You will be a great jedi''

"Yeah right. Just dress me up in the colors and put me on a holoreel next to Captain Alderaan. The Republic wants *you*."

''Nah, not for that kind of propaganda.'' she corrected

''You might not want to admit it but the path you have taken until now requires a lot...but you made it. Few in this galaxy can claim to have had it worst then you but despite everything you never compromised on who you were and what you thought was right.''

She shrugged

''Well that is how I see it''

"I don't know if that's really true... but... thanks."

Sentimental stuff was hard.

"Mostly I've just thought about myself though. Doing the 'right' thing was usually just incidental."

''I don't think so...you have your moral compass but I don't think you are self-centered''

"Maybe you just don't know everything I've done. Or why I've done them. I don't see how you can be selfless if helping others was just something you did because it was easier that way."
