"How would you wield three sabers with one hand?" She held a straight face for 3 full seconds, before smirking.

"One with my hand, the other two with my mind," she said, holding out a hand and looking at an empy bottle nearby...

...which did not move because Layne wasn't quite seriously enough about it to make use of the dark side energies that were presently flowing through her.

Sabine took a long sip from her bottle.

"Mmhhmm."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Sorry, it's a self-discipline thing. Besides, I could always get a prosthetic hand. Seems to be all the rage among people I know."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Oh? People whose hands you accidentally sliced off?" Asked the Mandalorian woman casually.

[Layne Hoshin]

"Not that I can recall, no. I probably wouldn't do that to my friends."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"That's always good, to be frank. We all prefer our limbs to be attached, overall." She smiled, and drank some more. "Hm... wonder what's coming up after the Huttball scores."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Commercials. It's always endless commercials."

There was an awkward pause as Layne, so thoroughly unfamiliar with what constituted a normal conversation, tried to figure out what to say.

"So. Mandalorian fighting mandalorians eh? What's up with that?"

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Dad was exiled for not killing his own brother. Became a bitter asshole. Raised me as a fighter. I joined up with the Republic Military because I was tired of fighting only for money." She shrugged. "As for the others, apparently they promised the Republic long ago that they would help them, and they consider our enemies traitors."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Ancient promises rarely keep well."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Unlike wine and whiskey, I guess?" She said. "At least from what I heard in some places."

[Layne Hoshin]

"I'm just saying, I can understand people not wanting to follow some ancient promise their ancestors made, when it isn't even in writing. Not that it okays what's happening or anything."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Perhaps.... on the other hand, still better than wanton murder and pillaging." She shrugged. "If you're fighting, have a good reason to fight. At least, that's my opinion."

[Layne Hoshin]

"Not everybody has that luxury," she said, expression souring slightly.

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Survival is something to fight for." Shot the Mando back. "But these guys? They're not fighting for survival. They're fighting to be asses."

[Layne Hoshin]

"True, nobody's holding a blaster to their heads. Well, not yet anyway."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Mmhmm. They have a choice not to be a jerk. Now it's time for consequences." She finished her beer, and put it down.

"An idealist huh? Universe is just and all that?"

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Nah, the universe is full of assholes. Doesn't mean we have to be assholes though. All the more reason not to give in and try to help others. Being a jerk isn't as fun as the sith make it out to be."

[Layne Hoshin]

"I don't know, I've had my fun with it at times. All in moderation."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Being a moderate jerk sounds like drinking non-alcoholic beer. Terrible."

"Spoken like an alcoholic."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Well, dad was only sober when he had to actually make an effort to shoot someone." She shrugged. "So you're a moderate jerk Jedi now? Is that a thing now?"

"I'm still new at this, s'all. Being nice is hard."
