She looked over to him with a small smile. "Yeah, not me for sure. I think you... just have to do what you think is right for the things you hold most important and try to be kind when you can. It may not make you a good person, but it at least makes you principled in some way, which... you know, is I think the best people can do."

Jax nodded but didn't say anything, just ran for a bit obviously caught up in thought.

"So did you have a chance to visit those monks? interesting stuff they teach there."

She nodded as she ran. "Yeah, I did. Got a tattoo, even." She turned her shoulders toward him a little to show what she had.

Jax made a low whistle "impressive I'd like to see the whole thing sometime, those tattoos were made with poison ink I heard. Any negative effects?".

"Not really, aside from being painful as fuck," she replied with a shrug.

"hmm glad I didn't do it then, I like a certain kind of pain and poison needle tattoos doesn't do it for me." he says with a small laugh "I jumped off a cliff, was a little concerned I was going to splat on the ground but I made it just in this crevasse. Actually felt pretty exciting very insightful."

She nodded. "Glad it worked out for you."

Jax smirked a bit "you don't talk much do you?"

She smiled and shrugged. "Yeah, I guess I'm a little bit quiet."

"Nothing wrong with that its nice to be passive and observant sometimes." he grinned "though sometimes being talkative has its advantages as well usually in conversation people are focused on either your face or their senses are focusing on hearing your words" unfortunately for Jax his fingers had a bit of a problem smoothly getting out of Luth's pocket and she would likely feel a slight tugging the fact they were both running didn't make the attempt easier he could only hope she didn't notice the snag.

She caught his hand while it was just out of her pocket. "Sneaky, aren't we?"

he smiled releasing the object and pulling his hand back "I get the feeling I was this close" he said holding his fingers close together "to pulling that off." he said

"didn't mean to intrude just felt like showing off a bit but I guess that's what I get." he said chuckling

She chuckled. "Doesn't bother me, but I am pretty decent at noticing things."

"I can see, should have guessed that I suppose you would be a pretty bad spy if you weren't at least a little observant. I guess I'll need to work on my slieght of hand if I want to grab anything off you."

She grinned. "Yup. You'll get there, I'm sure."

"Your confidence is overwhelming." he said dryly with a sardonic smile "Though I really have other skills I need to work on before I improve my stealing abilities, trying to go more legitimate and all that."

"Oh yeah?" She asked curiously. "What are you trying to move toward in particular?"

he lets out a little sigh "I'm not sure exactly but ya know this life can't go on forever the running, the hiding, making enemies in every dark corner of the galaxy. Something legitimate might be nice. But we all have our demons to deal with before we can settle down."

"Yeah... I know that feeling," she sighed.

"I can tell." He says giving her a meaningful look "something heavy weighs on you doesn't it?"

"Isn't that true for everyone?" she replied, looking forward as she ran.

Jax shrugged "if you ever want to talk about it in a good listener." Then he grinned "or if you want a distraction I'm pretty good at that too." He said his tone playful in an attempt to lighten the mood a touch.

She looked over at him and smiled a little. "I can't really talk about it, but I appreciate the offer. Distraction works much better."

He smiled wide at that "distraction is my speciality. We should get together sometime in the next few days find some activity we like to do. I find physical activity is a great way to make the mind wander."
