“Don’t break it then,” the old Jedi ghost said.

"I will do my best." he nodded. "Is there anything I can do for you? Something you'd like me to look into?"

[Dapper Dog]

“A Jedi is not defined by their past. I must be here for a purpose, perhaps to guide you,” he responded confidently.

[Galen Sol]

"You said you were investigating." Galen said as he stood in a fluid motion. "Was that your roll within the Order? To watch the Sith?"

[Dapper Dog]

“I was one of the secretive order of Jedi Shadows, we watch everyone… but Sith usually garner much of our attention,” he responded.

[Galen Sol]

"I don't think I've heard of the Shadows, but it makes sense." he extended his arm, saber in hand. "Seems like what I would become, unless the Jedi have a hunting club."

He ignited the weapon, studying the yellow blade.

[Dapper Dog]

“No official club but there was bothan that loved to go hunting, course he never actually killed them either,” the spectral Jedi replied.

“The lightsaber is an elegant weapon… never to be used unless absolutely needed.”

[Galen Sol]

"Of course." he nodded, not taking his eyes from the blade. "I'm more comfortable with my rifle. And, prefer live capture when I hunt."

[Dapper Dog]

“I could never get the hang of being a marksman, seemed uncivilized,” he responded.

[Galen Sol]

He shrugged. "There's likely some truth to that. But, I think any weapon could be seen as uncivilized."

[Dapper Dog]

“The lightsaber is the height of elegance, that is your first lesson,” the spirit of Yulu replied.

[Galen Sol]

"And, why is that?"

[Dapper Dog]

“It is of sublime design, a weapon that can cause such devastating damage and yet packed into an elegant delivery system… more importantly it is a connection between you and the Force,” he said.

[Galen Sol]

"I'm not dismissing it." Galen switched off the saber. "It is a potent weapon. But, I've been conected to the force for years, before I found this lightsaber.

[Dapper Dog]

“And now you have mine, all things are connected, Galen,” he said.

[Galen Sol]

"Including my skill with a rifle." he shrugged. "I will be studying the saber much more, though. If there is a need to use it, I need to be ready."

[Dapper Dog]

“There will always be a need, just carrying one will make you a target for good or ill, it’s a big responsibility. Perhaps too much for some,” he said thoughtfully.

[Galen Sol]

"Well, I couldn't just leave it in the wreckage." he smiled. "So, it's my responsibility now. One that I accept willingly."

[Dapper Dog]

“I am not sure you fully grasp the gravity of this choice, but you will in time. It can take a Jedi a lifetime to understand the weight of their choices, the ripple we create in our actions and inaction,” he responded.

[Galen Sol]

"That was one of the first things I learned, we always leave traces of ourselves wherever we go." he nodded. "For all he did to me, I still carry Janus with me, good and bad."

[Dapper Dog]

The spirit nodded and began to fade, “I see... now…”

Then there is silence.

[Galen Sol]

"Yulu...?"

[Dapper Dog]

There is no reply at the moment, he can feel the presence but... perhaps Yulu but he cannot hear anything or see him.

[Galen Sol]

Reflexively, he shook the saber a little, as if it was a faulty commlink.

"Is something wrong?"

He looked about, surveying the area around him.

[Dapper Dog]

The area was calm, Galen is unsure of what happened, he feels the presence but it is faint… perhaps it comes and goes.
