The setback die due to trust issues. Is that One Event/Mission per day? Or if you are in multiple events/missions it applies to your first roll in all of them?

Is there many repairs to make after the space battle? Or any need to set stuff up with mechanics or computers?

Is Chief like a quartermaster?

Also, in the space battle event, are the Duty rewards per ship or per active crewmember?

Per active participant, Badera is the quartermaster, Chief is a mechanic and also the highest ranked NCO.

I'm pretty sure I'm right but I decided to ask,

Those of us with our own ships. The ships are located at the hangar? Or elsewhere? I ask as the Hangar read like a repair facility.

What’s the standard procedure for modding gear? Spend the credits, make a scene thread to do it in, then note the roll in my gear thread—does that sound about right? Do we need to spend time on-screen shopping for the parts or anything like that?

Sorry, one more query--are the IC forums supposed to be hidden from public view? And if not, would it be okay to unlock them? I keep clicking links in Discord on my phone and such and having to copy over to my browser (where I'm logged in) to actually see what people are talking about :D

Probably either Chief or the Quartermaster, or there could be an event for that.

Is jt possibke to set up some kind of cover in co tested areas to give a blue dice to rolls there? Something like trenches or dunno? If yes, what kind if skill would it be?

It could, less a skill roll and just time digging and fortifying bu it would only last the day and have to be redone the next. If people want to spend a time slot fortifying an area they are welcome to it.
