Sacrifice in the Sands Event Discussion

I'm expressing an interest here.

As a Droid Veeone won't use any water = major advantage

Unfortunately the only skillcheck of those required I have any hope of passing is the Stealth check each round to cover tracks. = minor disadvantage.

Anyone else interested?

I am considering it. I am good at Resilience, Athletics, even Stealth etc. but not in Cunning-base rolls.

Same spot I'm in Oddyn. Very good at the resilience, combat check or athletics, but those only happen if we fail the stealth/skulduggery check.

If we have a Jedi with Seek and can risk the three threads it would take to get home safely then Veeone is a decent choice for the event due to not needing water.

I might be interested my stealth pool is 1y 4g and perception is 1y 2g but those are all the useful skills I have well if the mandos catch up I have 1y 4g ranged but that doesn't help us just keeps me safe

Yup. On second thought I'll pass. Odd consumes water so you hold a critical advantage there. I also don't want to mess up the moot attendance.

It seems my wait for a meaningful participation in a limited event is going to last a bit longer.

Well Jax blows my Stealth and Perception rolls away there so he's better suited by far.

Really need someone with good Outer Rim or Survival though or this event is unwinnable. Veeone is not that someone. :(

I have 2Y+1G on Survival rolls if that's any use?

I am frail but I got good perception, decent skullduggery, 3 in cunning and the Seek Force power which could be useful

Well Seek guarantees a 3 timeslot trek back, but then you can't do the Perception or Skulduggery rolls

/edit

Misreads that totally!

Successful Seek use means 3 timeslot journey. So it's only one round of the 3 that the Jedi can't roll Perception of Skulduggery.

Well if i do the event I don't think the look out will be necesarry as it only upgrades the check for the stealth person. And even if we aid the VIP (which we need a medic for) a 1y 4g vs 3p is fine.

I would also ask one of the medics along. To deal with any potential crits/aid the VIP

I'm thinking the benefit of not needing water is outweighed by my inability at the rolls required, so Veeone will step away from this one unless it looks like it won't fill.

Sounds like with Jedi based Seekery my Survival rolls won't be needed either, so I'll leave it to the force :)

I would definitely hit Ashla up for this one.

Just a note if you don't get the Triumph or Advantage for the Medicine check you lose a slot due to working on the VIP. That would free up the Pathfinder to do something else like gather water or cover tracks.

I'm pretty good at most of those, except for Resilience and Medicine.

But, I've had two limited events, already.

Baes I think hasn't had a limited event? Nor Ashla. Rekara's only had one. If there's a stealthy person who hasn't had any/many limited participation slots yet and wants to go...?

I'm no good at resilience, but I'm good at most things cunning based. I have cunning 4

I do like idea of V1 being involved, that saves a lot of recources.

I've had 1 (?) event and am good at track-covering (2y2g, remove a setback) and ok at survival and perception (4g), so. Happy to do the other crazy dangerous event, so will yield to someone else if they want it.

Well lets look at it.

4 people times 3 minimum time slots = 24 units of water needed to get back safely. V1 reduces that to 18 if he goes along.

Anyone bad at resilience, is likely to get a critical wound which can hurt us in various ways.

Aiding the Vip, I feel this is pretty pointless, we need a triumph or 5 advantage to do this and move, which isn't very likely at all in my mind. It has the feel of something that will just get us stuck.

We are probably needing someone who can pass the path finding roll at hard difficulty. With as much as three set back. Though if anyone has a thermal cloak in their inventory the avoid two of these.

Covering tracks, anyone with decent stealth or subterfuge will be good at this. We have several different options.

Finding water. Expect a hard or daunting roll. Without moving it will be easier, but that just leaves us stuck caring for the doctor.

I skipped a bit, but I feel 1 person with cunning, 1 person with agility or cunning, and 1 person with int would be a good sell. Especially if they had knowledge outer rim.

*nods* it is possible, I'm not denying that. And if you fail you just have one person hide tracks, and another search for water. So if you're successful on those two it's pretty much a washed time slot. Though you probably can only afford to find dirty water twice.
