Operation Defiant Nexu Plotting

I decided to lay out the planning thread myself. There are four main events, each being exclusive (in terms of participation) from one another:

Operation Defiant Nexu: Defense Grid
Operation Defiant Nexu: Retinue Takedown
Operation Defiant Nexu: Support Team

And finally, the main strike team to fight Eralynn Varad herself on D9 EM. Baseline, there will be four people allowed to fight her. Depending on numbers, I may allow people to participate in both D8 and D9. Please note that due to the nature of these D8 events, they will need to be completed in a timely manner. Please do your best to be active. I trust that anyone will refrain from joining if they know they will not be.

As an aside, please note that Aaroth and Garreth have received slight buffs to their stature due to plot important being raised. Eralynn will stand alongside Aaroth at the final battle with a sniper watching over them. Failures from events, of course, will affect any additional reinforcements.

Phew. Lemme know if there are questions.

I might have thought these out for a bigger playerbase. Will think on it. But you have the general premises available, at least.

Well, Zanebry will want to be involved in one part of this...

Not sure which though.

So... wow

FIrst of all :D

The retinue event looks.... not too bad, on the face of it. It also means less enemies vs. Evelyn, so that is good.

The slicing event seems important, but also damn hard. I assume Rav, Roxy or Bae can do the necessary slicing, though big question is their survivability....

And this is discounting anything with the Force monks and cannibals and stuff xD

Sabine is ready for any of the combats, not good at the support event, and I hopefully can survive the slicing event if needed....

Yeah, requires a hella peeps to acheive everything.

I am also concerned about the slicer event. Turrets/disruptors/snipers can mow us down quite easily...escpecially since I am melee

Anyone have any Ion rifles or blasters by any chance? Might be useful vs turrets

Nice!

The Slicing event looks rough enough. That computers roll though :?

Hm, we may be at the point we need to envoke the Redshirt Covenant!

*sends the Wookie the Last Tobaga, the Ablative Noble and the Slicer Droid to slicing event*

Well, slicer event seems like you need two people at ranged, and two at melee...

preferably the mechanic is ranged... and tough enough to take a sniper shot

There's an old cat saying which has particular relevance here. It goes something like this, "We are all gonna die."

This device will be very useful

V1 might be good to take along as well, especially if he has bodyguard?

Garreth wields a pretty large Axe, I'd assume a modded vibro axe, So keep that in mind as well.

I think V1 might have durable as well, so hopefully he can tank the Disruptor better?

Suppressing fire also means minions take damage even on failed ranged rolls, I think.

Also, isn't Layne's outing on D8? That might keep out some people...

The disruptor is what puts it over the edge in the danger category. Brin needs to go down fast.

Well, if we beat him on initiative I might be able to take it the disruptor. So I guess I'm volunteering for Operation Suicidal Slicing ;)

I'd volunteer to tank in the slicing mission. Can upgrade ranged attacks 3 times without spending destiny (twice from sense, once from sidestep), reflect 4 damage, and have improved reflect (deal damage back at up to medium if a despair or enough threat on the attack). Only 3 soak and 14 wounds, but, I'm willing to chance it.

Have we got any actual Slicers by the way? Or PCs with Computers > 2?

No one jumps to mind... Maybe Hacha has Computers?

Slicer Tree is infamously unpopular.
