"If there's anyone out there I know does their very best for the Republic, it's you, Niall. So even if things go south, don't forget that. I don't want your conscience torturing you."

"Mmmm." Niall sighed. "I do my best. But I owe so much to so many..." He trailed off, shaking his head.

He gave her a quirky smile, one he only showed to friends. "But that's something we have in common, isn't it? A feeling of obligation to others. Another thing bringing us together." Teeth flashed in a grin. "I don't suppose you'd believe me if I told you 'stop, it's okay, you've done enough!'"

Delmi nodded, "That's the breaks with something like this... Stuff gets wrecked when someone starts shit. Hopefully we get out of it when it's all done and can kick out these Mando kids. What happens after... that's up to the fancy talkers."

"Gotta say I'm a little eager to get out there, never tested myself against a Mandalorian before and I'm wondering if that reputation of theirs includes their pilots," she said, "Politicians can have their talk of what happens after everything but first things first I'm gonna bag me a couple o' Mandalorian fighters."

Delmi nodded, "Well... let's just say they aren't to be taken lightly. I was there when they attacked the surface. They aren't pushovers."

"Aw, worried about me already are ya?" she teased with a mocking grin. "Don't you worry yourself, I haven't gotten myself into anything I can't get myself out of yet and I'm not plannin' on doing it with these Mandalorian scum either. Count on that."

Delmi tilted her head, "I'm just saying don't take them lightly. I've heard lots of folks talk a big game, and if that's how you psych yourself up then great... but I find it's normally the one's who don't talk shit that end up alive at the end of the day. Everyone gets out of whatever danger tries to get them, until they don't. These Mandos are assholes... but they have damn good training. A person spends their whole life doing one thing, they end up being not too bad at it most the time."

"To be honest, I would," she admitted. "Even I think it's getting toward time to find a calmer life, even if I have no idea how to go about it."

"You would?" Smiling, Niall inclined his head to her, almost a seated bow. "In that case, once this campaign is over, come find me. Or I'll find you. And I'll tell you exactly that." For a moment his expression grew more serious. "You really have done enough, you know."

The smile returned. "I know I've tried to sell you on Alderaan before, but I'll make another attempt. It really is the place to find a calmer life. And you did enjoy your visit, didn't you?"

"Well, if we're counting that you can best be sure no Tin Can is gonna beat me in space. Don't worry though, I get your message. Just wait till we get to Bankor. You'll see I'm not all just big talk I can promise you that," she said with an air of cool confidence. Not relaxing or tensing as she spoke but remaining as she was where she was.

Well, until, "Speaking of, I should probably get down there and suit up for some final checks. I'll see you planetside...?" she paused where she didn't have a name as she leaned back off the railing.

Delmi smirked nodded, “I look forward to seeing you kill as many metal-heads as you can.”

She then extended a hand to shake, “Name’s Delmi by the way.”

"Chase," she replied as she took the womans hand firmly. "Lieutenant if we're on duty though, for appearances of course," she cast a grin that showed both that she wasn't totally serious but she really was proud of that rank.

"Alright Louie." Delmi replied with a smile and a final clasp of her hand before lowering it.
