"The Mandalorians and the Republic have a complicated relationship. This invasion perpetuates that." Kyr'ad gave a stretch of his elderly body and then let out a breath. "I am glad you found a purpose, burc'ya. But don't become one of the dar'munda. Remember where you came from."

Incoming call for Kyr'ad.

The clan elder looked down to his belt and pulled out his holocommunicator. "Perhaps it is rude to answer these mid-conversation but during times of war, it is a necessity. You may stay though, burc'ya." He opened up the line and then smiled. "Su cuy'gar, vod." He gestured over to Sabine and then nodded to his device. "This is one of my own, Nai'tiri. And she is Sabine of Clan Kryze."

"Su cuy'gar, vod," the blue holo-figure greeted with a smile. Even through the blue tint of the holo, it seemed it was part of her natural skin color, and judging by the eyes, the woman was most likely a Chiss. Nai'tiri regarded the Kryze.

"Sabine," she nodded, acknowledging the new face. "A new follower of yours, ba'vodu?"

“Feel free to sccept, I understand.” She nodded simply in response. When the woman showed up on the screen, she was impressed. That picture could be used on republic recruitment posters for great effect.

“No, republic miliatry.” She answered briefly. “Liasing with the Schism.”

"Still you insist on ba'vodu. I am old enough to have fathered your father, Nai'tiri." Kyr'ad gave a proud smile before looking back at the woman of Clan Kryze. "Sabine is on the more unique side of our people. She joined the Republic Military before Vera's ambitions. Four years and she has garnered enough trust to be asked to liaison with us."

"You don't act like a ba'buir. Still keeping yourself too alive and fit for that," Nai teased lightly, before focusing her attention on Sabine.

"Liaison?" she raised an eyebrow. "Unusual to join the military, but your presence is welcomed, Sabine Kryze. Betting you're not Varo's close relative then?"

"Niece, if my father was not lying. He mentioned Varo often. Usually as a cowardly scumbag." She said all of that with a straight face. "Never met the man though. Or another Kryze."

"I'd say you're not missing out on much there, but there is a statistical possibility that the daughters are not as bad as the son." Nai'tiri casually crossed her arms, barring off further comments on that particular subject from her side of the conversation.

"As liaison between us and Republic military, what are you expecting from us?"

"We were planning on coordinating intelligence reports. I imagine she wants to know where we'll be too."

"Never tell me the odds." Sabine's reply was wry with a confident smirk to Nai's first remark.

Then she nodded to both the man and the woman. "Yes. I figure it eases up strafing run planning if we know where you guys are. We prefer you in one piece." She continued smiling. "Also, any information you know of our enemies would be useful." She glanced around, at the larger group of Mandalorians. "Perhaps I can wow my cousins with some family trivia."

Nai tensed slightly, but gave a nod. "I'm coming in to Bankor on the Turtle. Freelance ship. Escorting the Pantoran senator, Mixo." She looked more to Kyr'ad now than Sabine. "Craw Toboga is here too. Coming to fight alongside the Republic."

The holo-blue tinted eyes looked more back to Sabine. "All I know of the Kryze is that Yunda Kryze is a pretty insufferable jerk. Heard some of them have some combat-piloting, but don't know if they got any ships."

The planning, for Kyr'ad, was put on standby. "Craw? You're with Craw? I had heard about you two speaking again but I did not expect this to be the reason you're not with us right now." His tone was of open disdain for the man. "Is he here just for credits then?"

Nai gave a single nod. "Some deal with the Republic he's honoring, but I will vouch for him."

Sabine was silent for only the briefest of moments. "Anyone I need to worry about?" She asked plainly.

"Ha! The boy wants to start upholding promises." He then looked towards Sabine. "The Mandalorian Irregulars may have an interesting relationship with you."

"Nothing you need to be concerned with, Sabine, and if it does become a problem, I will handle it." It didn't seem like the Chiss wanted to elaborate on the topic. "I have experience with the military, just not open war. Not all of us are so old as to have fought in the Great Hyperspace War."

Sabine cocked her head. “How so?” She asked the older man, before turning to. Ai. “ een to a few battlefiekds when I was younger. Keep your head diwn, keep friend and foe clear and you shoukd be fine.”

"The Great Hyperspace War was supposed to be the last I'd see of the Sith Empire. It seems like there is always a new one appearing."

Kyr'ad then shook his head with an amused grin. "Vera is a braggart and likes to be unique. But as for the others, they may not have found a home in the Republic as easily as you."

"The Republic tends to look down their noses on us. Doesn't stop them from hiring us to do the dirty work, but they don't try to make us feel welcome either." Nai shifted in her stance, arms casually crossed. "Trust me, I've done a fair share of work on Republic worlds."

"Senator here seems good, even learned Mando'a, but I think he'd kiss a Hutt if it meant good publicity."

"I'll visit them too sometime.." She stated with certainty, her arms by her side, fiddling with her blade. "I'll see if I can help them in any way." She smiled ruefully. "Yeah, I agree with that, though the military has treated me well at least. Hopefully we can improve that relationship." She blew at a stray strand of hair. "If not, we can still shoot some assholes."

The elder looked back to his holocommunicator. "You will be arriving at the same time as the rest of the forces, then? Make sure you are cleared with the forces down below." He shook his head in annoyance. "Took too much time working that out for the rest of us.'

"That's the plan. Everything's in order, so I've been told." Senator-clearance, something-something. "We'll be ready for hostile confrontation with the Kryze the moment we drop out of hyper-space."

She gave a small smile to Sabine. "Happens to be one of my favorite hobbies. Looking forward to fight alongside you, Sabine."

"Hopefully not this Kryze, hopefully. She smiled. "Not much to add before the battle then?" She asked curiously.

"Perhaps you two could use a sparring bout," he said with a smirk. "I look forward to seeing you again, Nai'tiri."
