[Sabine Kelborn]

Sabine was busy cleaning her beautiful, superb Paladin. She set to the weapon with a cleaning cloth and some oil.

"Hrm.. that's it. You have no name, but you're better than the others. Don't you worry."

[Galen Sol]

"Very nice."

Galen had noticed Sabine as he was walking by. He had had a similar idea, bringing his weapons out to clean, while letting Navi run around on some of the smaller branches. He currently carried two rifles.

"May I join you?"

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Galen! Sure, feel free!" She eyes his weapon with curiosity, ignoring the tiny creature running around. "Nice piece." She waved towards an empty space next to her.

[Galen Sol]

He sat down.

"I just received it." he smiled as he set the newer rifle in front of him. "I love my blaster rifle, but I've always wanted a Model 38."

It was a slugthrower with extreme range. It appeared to have a number of customizations, specific to Galen's size and reach. It fit him well.

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Oh, a slugthrower! Nice! She showed him her rifle. "I have a Paladin Mk II. Really nice piece, but yeah... I never had a slugthrower, to be honest. The good ones are not cheap, and a decent blaster can get the job done the same." She glanced over, her curiosity oozing off of her. "Have you tried it yet?"

[Galen Sol]

"Not yet." he shook his head. "I'm familiar with the model, though. It's good for hunting game with tougher hide."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Yeah.... the things on Bankor seem to be of the tougher kind. May I?" She gestured towards the rifle, hoping to hold it.

[Galen Sol]

"Of course." he nodded. "I'd be interested in hearing your assessment."

[Sabine Kelborn]

Sabine took the gun gingerly, then started... pawing it, for lack of a better word. "Hm... nice. Well built, I see it's been fitted to you? This doesn't seem to be exactly standard." She gestured towards her rifle. "If you're interested, have a feel."

[Galen Sol]

He picked up her weapon and began inspecting it.

"You're right. The weapon was fitted to me. But, after a time, most weapons are adapted to by their weilders."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"True, that usually happens... at least to those who keep care of their weapons." She raised the gun, looking down at the sights. "Impressive... I'm a bit jealous, to be honest. You're a pretty good marksman."

[Galen Sol]

"A hunter needs to be, if you're going to do more than trap." he shrugged. "But, we have several skilled shots here, including yourself."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"That is quite true, and thank you. I try to keep my skills as sharp as possible." She handed him back the rifle. "Do you use traps too, or only guns and your skills?"

[Galen Sol]

This is very, very nice." he handed her rifle back.

"I have a pair of electrosnares." he answered. "They're helpful for live captures, as is the stun setting on my blaster rifle."

Galen set his other rifle down. "Of course, that requires getting closer. There's another rifle that actually uses darts to stun targets from further out. I may look into that next."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Thank you. Do you often need to capture rather than kill?" She asked in curiosity. "Hrm, heard of those. You can put all kind of stuff into those, not just for stunning." She shrugged. "I've been raised with blasters, will probably die with blasters in my hand. Usually they're pretty reliable."

[Galen Sol]

"It depends on the client." he shrugged. "There are people who want exotic pets or have other uses for live beasts. There are also some planets and regions that prohibit or regulate killing indigenous species. Even if a creature is a pest or a menace, they prefer that they be relocated rather than eliminated. I tend to prefer that myself. Killing should be a necessary act. And, live captures are often more challenging."

[Sabine Kelborn]

"Ah, yeah, I see. We never really bothered with jobs like that. If it didn't involve an excess of brutal violence, dad wasn't interested." She shrugged in response. "How did you end up in this business, by the way?"

[Galen Sol]

"As bait." he answered. "I was purchased as a boy, by a hunter named Janus Sol. He used slaves as live bait to capture large predators. I was a bit more capable than those before me, lasting longer and eventually outlasting Janus."

[Sabine Kelborn]

Sabine frowned. "Ouch. That youth sounds as fun as mine was." She shook her head in disdain. "You did manage to do good for yourself then. Good on you." She eyed the man up and down. "You still hunt, then?"

[Galen Sol]

"Yes." he nodded. "Obviously, I'm not opposed to taking other jobs, such as being a gun for hire, but hunting is my main focus. I'm hoping there will be time to do a little here."

[Sabine Kelborn]

Sabine nodded. "Yeah, this jungle seems pretty ripe for some hunting. You're interested in that, I see. Are you looking for a challenge, or just a pastime?"

[Galen Sol]

"A challenge is always welcome." he smiled. "But, mostly, I'd just like to see what's out there. This is a vast forest and is likely older than we can imagine. There's no telling what may have evolved here."
