Description: Garreth Varad was training the green recruits to Clan Varad when the attack began. Taking him out before he can return to Eralynn could be paramount to victory. To make things more complicated, he has a former prisoner who has been indoctrinated into assisting him. She dotes on him, likely in an attempt to earn his appreciation rather than his ire.
When the team arrives, he laughs with his dire axe hefted over his shoulder. Reports indicated that it is incredibly vicious, capable of tearing people apart with ease. "Seven to four, huh? Excellent training for new blood, I'd say." He pushes the woman off of his arm. "I'll need both hands to cut them apart."

You will start at Medium Range from Garreth, his assistant, and two minion groups of three green recruits each.
Stockholm Syndrome:
As it happens, the indoctrinated young woman is the daughter of a prominent Resistance leader. If the assistant is wounded (strain is okay,) lose -0.1 Trust. If the assistant is killed, lose -0.3 Trust.
She will be engaged with Garreth whenever possible, ready to heal him, meaning Blast weapons will hurt her. If he is about to take the final wound to take him down, she will flip a Destiny to jump in the way of the shot, potentially killing her.
Turrets Engage
At the end of Round 2, a minion group of 3 turrets will activate above the starting position of Garreth Varad. As they are on the ceiling, they will be unreachable for melee weapons.
Man to Man: A sniper is on standby in the instance the battle goes southward. He is at Long Range and will not fire until Garreth is wounded twice or downed or the Republic outnumbers his people there. Turrets and the assistant do not count towards this number. He will still have an initiative count throughout the entire conflict.
Rewards/Outcome: If the squad succeeds in defeating Garreth, he and his retinue will not be there to assist Eralynn. Otherwise, they will arrive with the assumption that they recovered strain/used stimpacks to have more fighting capability. If the sniper is the last one standing, Garreth will survive and be stimmed to help Eralynn. PCs will also survive.
Taking Garreth down accrues 1 Victory Point.
