It was already scorching hot, and it was going to get hotter, but there was one perk to being a doctor, the medical facilities were one of the few places in the camp with more than the bare minimum climate control. It was at least two degrees cooler inside, and humidity was better than almost-zero.
There were also refrigeration units, so there was cool water available. It was downright luxurious compared to being outside. It was for the patients’ benefit, not the staff, but that didn’t make it feel any less indulgent.
