“You know I am not sure why you didn’t just tell them about the holocron you found?” Lunda said looking around the cramped office and pseudo bedroom of the Doctor. She had been given a double room all to herself due to the specialized equipment she brought and her connection to Senator Saresh.

[Vasir Rexa]

“I would have but Layne and Baesal would have tried to take it from me, at the minimum, given their paranoia and prejudice. I am not proud of it, but I like I said once I am done studying it, you can take it with you to the Jedi Council,” she said warmly.

“Technically you were the one that found it.”

[Lunda Mae]

“Well I just wanted to say, I apologize for Layne, she is a nutcase but hopefully her heart is in the right place,” Lunda replied.

[Vasir Rexa]

“Layne will do what she feels is best, I won’t fault her for that. I don’t agree with her assessment but she is only doing what she feels is the right course for her regardless of the Jedi way.”

She lifted the holocron with her hands and said, “I am going to need you to open this… be careful. I am not sure who this belonged to, but it must be important. Holocrons are rarely made frivolously.”

[Lunda Mae]

Lunda nodded and began to concentrate, the triangular object floated gently out of Vasir’s hands to rest right in front of the Jedi. It was a dark object, she could feel the torment and anger surrounding it, the anger she felt in the vergence… her anger at Layne… being considered useless… the senseless death… she unleashed all those base emotions into the device and it clicked ominously…

It unfolded and then said, “These are the words of Tulak Hord, here them and tremble…”

[Vasir Rexa]

“Well Tulak Hord, that is an impressive name,” Vasir said calmly.

“Tell us everything, and spare no details.”

[Lunda Mae]

“Who is Tulak Hord?” Lunda asked frowning at how easily she had tapped into her darker nature.

[Vasir Rexa]

“A powerful and renowned Sith Lord, this should prove to be educational for both of us, Lunda. If you ever wanted to prove yourself stronger than Layne, this could be the way… of course I doubt anything would change her mind,” Vasir said calmly as she listened.

[Lunda Mae]

“I just… that does not seem like something I should be trying to aspire to,” she said honestly.

“Jedi don’t harbor grudges.”

[Vasir Rexa]

“Jedi do many things they should not,” Vasir said listening to the holocron.

“This is just more secret lore, more information you can bring back to the Council, remember there is no ignorance, there is Knowledge,” the Doctor reminded her.

“This is the kind of knowledge that will make you strong…”

[Lunda Mae]

Lunda was unsure but listening to the words of Tulak Hord… the anger she ahd felt, the way that Layne smugly defied anything that was proper… it just made her want to show the smug jerk up. More importantly she wasn’t useless, she had been useful. She found the holocron, this was her information.

By utilizing it she could aid the Republic, she could remake it into what it needed to be… she could bring peace and equality to her empire…

[Vasir Rexa]

The Doctor nodded at the padawan and added, “You are starting to see.”

[Lunda Mae]

“I am scared what if I am not… strong enough… maybe Layne is right,” she said looking inwardly.

[Vasir Rexa]

Doctor Rexa rose to her feet, she was of a slight if womanly build. Easily missed in a crowd for her size but striking features seemed to draw the eye. Now she seemed impossibly large, to dominate the sight of the padawan and smiled. There was something behind that capricious smile as she placed a hand on Lunda’s cheek, “You don’t have to be scared, Lunda. I am here to guide you every step of the way.”

“Seize your destiny, trust in me, and together we will reveal all the secrets of the galaxy… the universe… and even the Force.”

[Lunda Mae]

Lunda was scared now and looked at this woman and said words that should have come sooner, “Who… are you?”

[Vasir Rexa]

Vasir smiled and said calmly as her features shifted growing some height, as the she willed the Force away from her frame. She looked right into the eyes of Lunda and said, “I am what you have seen in your dreams, child, the one who would mold you into what you need to be.”

“You have seen it, for I have seen it, just as I foresaw the paltry maneuvering of the padawan. You think you know fear, but you are wrong, I am Darth Zash, lord of the Sith and I am your master now… I am the Fear you cannot deny in your breast.”

[Lunda Mae]

Lunda fell to her knees… she was… she was looking at a true Sith… what should she do… could she do anything? She should rely on her teachings but her teachings, the Jedi… only Tethys seemed to know the path and even she seemed to side with Layne… maybe this was her true destiny… could she… should she?

The words spilled forth from her lips, “As you say, my Master.”
