Luth had sent Arali a message. She needed some time with her. Now she waited, leaning her arms on her knees. The door was unlocked as she waited, watching her hands make small movements, drawing little patterns in the air. Her gun was back in its case, and she had her clothes packed already, but the bag for them hidden in the room despite the cramped quarters.

Worry clouded Arali's mind as she made her way through the ship. She made her way to the room Luth said, but... she wasn't sure she'd like what she was about to find out.

With a steadying breath, she entered. She noticed Luth first, clearly nervous. And nothing else mattered.

She wrapped her arms around Luth, and held her for a time before she spoke. "There've been a lot of people asking questions about you. Are you okay?"

Luth embraced her in return, holding Arali as though she couldn't bear to let her go. "No... I will be, but this whole thing has me really stressed out."

"It's gonna be alright," Arali assured her. "We'll get through this together."

Luth smiled at her, but couldn't help but start tearing up, pressing her face into Arali's shoulder. "You mean... so much to me..."

Arali did not speak. Instead, she reached out to Luth through the Force, let her past all of her barriers, accepted her fully, and took her pain into herself as best she could as she shared the serene center of her being. And in that mindscape, it was like their own private garden, that went on forever. Just the two of them.

Luth tried to open herself up. She did, but part of her pain, perhaps the source of it, remained locked away in her heart. It wasn't unusual with the worst of her stress... Luth had always been very private, especially with her pain. And this time, she was so close to sharing it, but just couldn't, not fully. Still, Arali could feel how the serenity of her helped the pain soothe and ease, even while Luth still cried against her.

Though it's always frustrating when Luth doesn't open up completely, Arali lets it all drift away.

There is only peace.

"I love you, and I will always be right here, for you." It was hard to tell if she was speaking, or if the message was more direct.

The tide of pain that's washing through her eventually ebbs in the peace of Arali's mind. Luth is left with her head still against her, holding her a little less like she was about to disappear. Eventually, after several minutes of silence, the first noise she makes is soft singing. Like Arali, it's hard to tell if it's out loud or just in their minds.
