The creature began chasing Garth immediately.

[Dapper Dog]

It was almost like the creature knew the shot was coming before she pulled the trigger. It dipped under the blast and tackled Garth but did not bite him, instead it sniffed his face curiously.

The curiosity was reciprocated. Trying to hold the creatures gaze, Garth stayed still and breathed steadily as he reached up almost in slow motion to scratch behind the creatures ear.

[Dapper Dog]

It licked his face with a blue-black tongue covering him with its saliva, it was not the most pleasant of odors but it wasn’t biting him either. It licked again and then jumped back and crouched and wagged it’s whip like tail. He can almost feel the excitement as it waits to go again.

Badera said, “I am not sure it is trying to kill him. It looks like it might be playing with him?”

"Yeah...." Jax said uncertainty as he lowered his rifle bit still held it ready. "It doesn't seem hostile right now I mean it could have taken a chunk out of Garth just then but didn't, strange behavior for a wild animal."

"Sorry Tenant. Looks like ah've ruined your huntin' trip." Garth apologised as he kipped up and started playing with the beast.
Running around and rough housing, he was having a grand old time.
"Like ya said, pro'ly not real tasty anyhow."

The creature seemed quite willing to rough house with the man, though it growls at anyone else that gets near.

"It could just be sizing you up Garth," she smirked. Continuing, her voice takijg on a joking tone, "And at this point I think I'm quite willing to see if it decides to eat you later on."

[Garth Wayne]

"Jus' mah luck though. Come to a strange planet an' the first thing wanna get frisky wi' me is a four legged spiny backed cat monster."

Maintaining his friendly pitch and tone, Garth continued for a little, before he wore himself out and sat on the forest floor.

"Just remember, there were answering calls from the trees. Don' let yer guard down. They might not all be this frienfly."

As if on cue three more emerge from the brush and circle Garth each vying for his attention, and looking warily at the others perceiving them as threats.

[Chase]

"If they eat you I won't even bat an eye at this point," she said,with a dash of lighthearted honesty. "Might even get a chuckle outta the ordeal from me. Damnit... I need a drink to cope with this nonsense, Jax? Bring anything with you?"

[Jax Dolross]

Jax holstered rifle thinking the threat seemed to be passed knowing he could pull out the blaster pistol quickly if need be. He crouched down to the beasts level and presented the least aggressive body posture he could do and see if one of the cat beasts would investigate him but made no move to approach them.

They growl and then look at Garth to see his reaction.

Garth slowly stands and walks over to Jax, extending a hand to the man.

"I figure a handshake is more manly than a hug, to show your part of my...pack." Garth explains with a broad grin.

"You can have a hug though if ya want, ladies. The slobber ain't as stinky as it looks...not quite."

[Dapper Dog]

The creature growled and then approached Jax slowly, the others wait to see what the man does. It seemed wary but did not growl at the smuggler at least.

The man grins and takes the hand pulling the man into a manly one armed hug "it'll help get their scent on me as well." Made sense in his head at least.

As the beast a approached Jax did not attempt to touch it just slowly reached a hand out for the creatures inspection.

The creature licked the hand tentatively. It hissed at the others and they retreat into the brush. Then the creature sat down and looked at Jax.

Jax reaches up and gives the creature a bit of scritches behind it's ear and a little petting smiling openly. Sensing the creature had in a way marked him.

With a closer look they don’t seem to have visible eyes as it enjoyed the petting. The trio of pack cat-things return dragging something freshly killed well the least seemed to be dragging while the other two circle it.

They leave the prey animal at Garth’s feet.

Bending down to examine the offering, Garth calls over his shoulder to Chase. "Looks like it might not be a lost trip after all Tenant. Although a little less action packed than ya was expecting."

[Jax Dolross]

"Be careful Garth, I'm no survival expert but I'd wanna be sure that is a present and not their meal. They might take exception to us taking it."

[Chase]

"Yea, I don't know nothin' about animals but I'm pretty sure they're offering it up," she said, finally holstering her blaster. "And Garth, you bring that slime anywhere near me I'm gonna hope they eat you so I don't have to shoot you."
