Perhaps one of the most barren regions on the planet the Thoras Ice Shelf is an arctic region of extreme cold weather, extreme terrain, and extreme conditions. Though Hoth still has it beat it is not a hospitable place and there is very little up there besides some mining towns and research stations. The Mandalorians enjoy this region for testing themselves in harsh conditions though they do not keep large numbers of forces here.

That does not mean there are no dangers…
