Jax grinned at Garth's mishap "Simmer down young blood there'll be plenty of time for that when we aren't helping people." he joked. Hell he couldn't blame the guy the Chiss cut an impressive figure and the outfit did nothing but enhance her various assets. He chuckled and went back to digging.

"I think our man here needs a bucket of cold water." Z called to the female Mon calamari Jedi playing doctor, as the shirtless Garth dropped the pipe.

Garth laughed as he picked up his load again.

"Sorry Jenkins, Looks like I owe y' another beer."

He shakes his head in disagreement at Jax's statement, though the smile still remained from his earlier laugh. "Ain't no way that has time fer me. But ah'll try t' keep m' eyes forward fer now."

Stopping from the task she was doing, she looked up at the other woman.

"...yeah, alright."

"Thanks." Tethys switches on her welding tool and starts working on the join, holding the pipe on the other side still with her knees. "And I'm Tethys. I wasn't able to introduce myself on the cruiser."

In fact, she hadn't even seen Layne on the cruiser, not once. Maybe the padawan had come on a different ship.

"That's because I came on my own ship," she said, "the Sunset Dawn."

[Tethys Carrack]

"That would explain it." Bent over her work, Tethys has to raise her voice slightly over the buzzing of the welder. "A handy thing when you need to get somewhere quickly. Less convenient when somebeing expects you to pay docking fees," she adds, lips quirking.

[Niall Organa]

"Well, you know me, almist always showing up where I'm not expected. Benefit of working alone I figure." Zane replied as he continued digging, he'd somehow managed to keep mostly clean despite the muddy work.

"I'll remember to yell Vera that." Z replied with a soft chuckle. Capn A spent the afternoon planning in the Sun." He conti yes jokingly. "Really though, how have you been?"

Niall paused for a minute as the Chiss' backside briefly captivated everyone's attention.

"Been alright." Niall finally said, nodding. "Rather a lot on my mind, actually. Ummm... we can talk later about that, if you don't mind?"

Veeone clanked past carrying a pipe solo equal to what Wayne and Jenkins were duoing.

Niall paused for a minute as the Chiss' backside briefly captivated everyone's attention.

"Been alright." Niall finally said, nodding. "Rather a lot on my mind, actually. Ummm... we can talk later about that, if you don't mind?"

Zane replied, tossing another shovelful of dirt in a every growing pile. He paused a moment later, reaching up to loosen his tie, and undo the top button of his shirt. "Just make sure I have time to hit the refresher first."

Veeone noticed Patient Zero Zero One in passing, but it had orders to follow and medical care was not assigned at this time. Instead it headed off to pick up another water pipe.

Z smirked when he got on to where the Captain was looking, and really he couldn't blame him or Garth. It was a fine sight after all. "Sure, just let me know when, I'll make sure I'm available." Niall's expression became something between a smile and a grimace. "No kidding." He said. "An afternoon of labor following a morning fishing..." He shook his head. "I just hope there's no emergency staff meeting called. It would almost have to be outdoors."

"Oh you know the military, they would have inside anyways." He smirked. "And everyone would smell it but only complain about it later."

"Likely at the Rec hall."

Niall gave him a nod. "Rec hall then. Sounds good." His lips quirked. "There's a two drink limit there, you know."

"For you solider types. They don't seem to mind what I drink, as long as I bring my own."

"One of the benefits of being independent."

Niall shrugged, just before he began to dig again. "Perhaps. I've found that two drinks is enough for me, anyway."

Z would probably not be surprised to hear that.

Z shook his head. "It seems I have some work to do."

He looked Niall over. "Have to get you into shape, so you can at least handle three drinks. You'll never make it otherwise."

"I have no doubt you do," Tethys says as the welder continues to buzz its way around the circumference of the pipe. "Many rumors precede you. Even if many of them are... obviously fanciful." A quiet laugh bubbles up in her throat, almost inaudible over the various noises of the construction project.

"I have no doubt you do," Tethys says as the welder continues to buzz its way around the circumference of the pipe. "Many rumors precede you. Even if many of them are... obviously fanciful." A quiet laugh bubbles up in her throat, almost inaudible over the various noises of the construction project.

"Depends on what you've heard," she answered, a bit gruff.

"There's quite a range." says Tethys, kneeling in the loose dirt to finish up the seam on the bottom side of the pipe. "You've adopted a shipload of orphans before defecting, been raised from the dead, and have a secret recipe for the best Marakian chowder on Coruscant, among other things." She crouches down further, holding the welder at an awkward angle. "The rumor that you are a deeply independent being seems more credible. So does the one that says you're a formidable fighter. There. Done."

"Three of those rumors are true," she said, meaning that at least one of the improbable rumors was true.

Z shook his head. "It seems I have some work to do."

He looked Niall over. "Have to get you into shape, so you can at least handle three drinks. You'll never make it otherwise."

Niall chuckled, shaking his head. "Talk to Vera. She's got me doing more exercise. Have to, to keep up with the Irregulars."

He shook his head again. "But not drinking. I don't even try that. As long as I can keep up with them on a run, that's good enough for me."

Jax chuckled "so Captain Fresh-Face is as straight laced as he looks." he said his voice full of good humor the young captain seemed like the good sort if a little naive.

"Three of those rumors are true," she said, meaning that at least one of the improbable rumors was true.

"Really?" Tethys switches off her welder and stretches the kinks out of her neck. "I should have done more research after all, it seems. Thank you, that should stay if you let go of it now," she adds.

Niall chuckled, shaking his head. "Talk to Vera. She's got me doing more exercise. Have to, to keep up with the Irregulars."

He shook his head again. "But not drinking. I don't even try that. As long as I can keep up with them on a run, that's good enough for me."

"I will, I'll tell her you ate serious need of alcohol training, and that you need to report post haste to my ship to get sloshed."

He looked the man over critically, before glancing at Jax. "Im sure i can get him in shape, just give me too weeks. Running hung over will be doubly good for him."
