Baesal had been walking around the camp for a moment, following the pipes to see if there was any leaks and taking notes from time to time.

It is not because the worst is done that it is over

“Master Jedi, I was hoping I would see you,” Yanos replied looking at the work as well. “You’re people did great work, especially finding that fresh water source. I have to admit, I was wrong about the Republic response.”

“I detest being wrong.”

Baesal smiled brightly, turning to face the zabrak

''I understand the sentiment perfectly...but sometimes it is for the better''

She gazed at the people going by

''How are your people doing?''

"Better, actually... morale has improved." He looked at the pipe and said, "Hopefully it will last and the Republic can continue to find success."

''That is my hope as well. With the powerplant safe it is safe to assume that any energy problems will be solved, yes?''

“As much as it was a loss not to remove the head of the Mandalorians, having power and not losing half the city was perhaps the better outcome. Solved is a strong word, I would say it has been sorted for now, there is still much recovery work to be done and we still have a long campaign ahead,” he responded.

she sighed ''I know''

''Is there need for anything else?''

“With the situation here more secure, my brother and myself will be taking the fight with the Republic… well sort of we will be moving out to the Rygor region and hopefully rekindle some kind of efforts that have dwindled,” he said calmly.

“The situation is pretty grim, but I have mild optimism that given your support we can rectify the situation. So for that, I thank you.”

He was quiet then and just looked at the pipes.

''Your people are strong, I am sure that they will make it.''

“Your optimism is… unrelenting,” he said, impressed.

“I would like for you to be an advocate for the resistance, I feel you have the best interest for my people at heart. We could use a Jedi voice within the Republic forces to speak for us.”

Baesal was surprised by the offer

''It would be an honor but...are you sure? There are others who have better social skills then I''

“I trust you, I see no better choice,” he offered.

Baesal looked at her feet for a moment

''Very well then...I will do my best''

“I am hoping you will exceed my expectations,” he said quietly.

“I know you are the right choice.”

She had some difficulty wrapping her head around her new responsibility

"Is there any subject you would want me to bring to the next planning session?"

“Two matters come to mind, we need to reestablish contact with the Resistance in the area, that would be our primary goal and second there is a more delicate matter. Huya Vy is a crime boss, she is amoral at best and a vicious killer at worst but my contacts says she is interested in switching sides. She has resources the Resistance could use, but she only wants to deal with the Republic,” he responded.

''I see...I do think the Republic will try to reestablish contact with the resistance since it was why we will act there so that point is a reality.'' she scratched the back of her head

''For the other point...What ressources does Huya Vy has that the resistance needs?''

“Weapons, people, and resources… all the normal accouterments one needs to wage a war,” he responded.
