Hamelin meditates as he waits for the others to arrive.

Arali arrived next, and joined Hamelin in his meditation.

Ashla was there.

Word had gotten out about the gathering, and Garth came to see what the big disturbance was yesterday. He was also hoping to speak to someone about what happened to him personally yesterday.

Baesal wandered in, tinkering on some unscrutable project

Layne came in as well, looking a little worse for wear... spiritually rather than physically. She had had a lot on her mind lately. One might get the impression that being called into some Jedi get-to-together was more of an annoyance to her than anything else.

Rekara came in a bit later. It had taken her some time to clean up herself after a long, long day at the medical tent. She was wearing a new robe today, of excellent quality. "Good afternoon everyone."

Tethys arrives, still somewhat dusty and sweaty-looking in her armored robes, but somehow entirely unscathed by the battle in the wee hours of the morning. She props herself against the wall, arms crossed--the effect is more self-contained than forbidding.

Looking around at all the unfamiliar faces, Garth realized he hadn't spoken two words to hardly any of the Jedi here. Tethys and Hamelin, and Lunda if she showed up, but most of them he couldn't name for the life of him.

Maybe the most surprising arrival was Azura. Her arm was wrapped up from the fighting, and she didn't look pleased, but she had felt the same as everyone else and heard about this meet. It wasn't where she'd pick to go, but really...she wasn't exactly a secret anymore, so she felt she needed to learn what the hell was going on.

"Yo" she said simply, leaning against a wall, listening rather than talking.

She might not have been a secret to most, but her arrival was definitely a surprise to one. Garth's eyes bugged out a little at the sight of her in this place.

"You? You're...really?" Garth stammered.

"Something something Force mysterious ways" Azura shrugged "I don't make it public, but it's pretty public now I've sabered a few people."

"You trained? Like th' rest o' these? Or y' another unrecognized talent?" Garth asked curious about how one like Azura fit into the view of the force he'd heard of from Lunda and Tethys.

Hamelin opens his eyes and offers a bow to everyone there. <Groot>
"Welcome everyone. In case we have not met, I am Jedi Knight Hamelin. I trust that you all felt the disturbance yesterday? Does anyone know of anything or experienced something similar that may explain what happened? Sensory abilities are not my forte."

Baesal did not raise her head from the gizmo she was working on but her voice was clearly troubled

She watched the non-jedi for a bit, skeptical of their presence but not making a point of it. Then the conversation proceeded forward.

"Instantly, one might add. And if even they," she nodded toward the non-jedi, "could feel it, it probably happened either on this planet or at least in the system."

"Ah dunno what ah felt." Garth confesses in reply to Layne's snide comment.

"But ah was meditatin' with th' local monks when it knocked me fer a loop an' everything disappeared, replaced by this talking...emptiness."

"No comment" Azura said, going quiet as they others started speaking. Or in the Gands case, making sounds that were apparently words.

she turned to look at the other, maybe less annoying Jedi.

"It felt close enough by that I would think it was on the planet."

She looked back at Garth with a small frown.

"Talking...emptiness? That doesn't sound good."

“We may have felt what Clan Kryze did at Garig Port Town,” Tethys, still dusty from the morning’s rescue efforts, puts in coolly. “We know of no other mass deaths on the planet yesterday. It would be the simplest explanation.”

She glances sideways at Layne and adds, in a more speculative tone, “The Aznuri temple is located near a site very strong in the Dark Side of the Force. It may be possible this amplified our perception of the deaths.”

"Sure didn' feel good at th' time." He confided to Azura, feeling more kinship with the other outsider.

"Wanted t' offer me the power t' make others follow me like cattle. But that sounds exactly like the sorta slavery ah joined this Republic t' protect people from."

She shrugged at Azura's sarcasm, which felt somehow familiar.

"The Force can do many things," she said toward Garth. "Good and bad. Light and dark. How you use or reject such powers goes a long way to defining who you are."

"That pull... I've felt it around here myself. Especially in that area they call the Blight. I have to question the monks' judgement in locating their temple so close to it--that is a dangerous influence to have nearby when you are opening your mind for training."

Arms still crossed, Tethys frowns faintly, debating with herself whether it's worth possibly provoking Layne into some un-Jedi-like language by bringing up the Sith site herself. She decides, for the moment, to give the others a little longer to talk around to it.

So many deaths, such pain. The padawan rubbed her hand through her body, a shiver going through from her toes to her head, and only rubbing herself did she feel comforted. "How many planets are there in the area that have or had life?" she asked finishing her question with a tremble.

"The monks do not not understand the path they walk," she said, responding to Tethys. "They do not understand the line they aim to walk, and how far they've already strayed from it."

Hamelin takes in the information. <Sheek> He asks the group.
"Do we have some sort of confirmation that what happened at Garig Port Town is indeed what caused this disturbance in the Force? With the deaths of millions, it feels like it should have been something on a larger scale.

Do we have any other clues or leads? Or information to confirm?"
