“History is written by those who are alive to actually write about it, so yes it can be worth it. I am not sure what path you wish to take, but you have an opportunity here if you wish to seize it,” he said to the woman.

"Oh?" She looked over curiously at him.

[Dapper Dog]

“The Master is inscrutable, but he rewards those he feels show loyalty, are loyal. Fighting him even if it is simply to show you are your person will not endear you to him. Slavish devotion will only raise his suspicion. Simply complete your tasks without delay and precision and you could rise in his power structure,” he replied calmly.

“Of course that brings with it, a new set of problems. You would have rivals.”

"I gave up fighting him a while ago," she admitted. "At this point... Well, maybe it's better that way. I can't really get away from being attached to him. I guess the alternative is fully accepting it. Didn't work out too well for Syl or Layne, but there's not exactly a plethora of options on the table."

[Dapper Dog]

“Yes, I am aware, but they were fools who thought they could play a dark lord. Their arrogance proved their undoing,” he replied calmly.

“Knowing your place is important.”

She rubbed her head. "I am definitely not under that misapprehension."

"Yeah..." She thought of Arali, Niall, Z... How her situation could hurt them eventually. "Maybe it's for the best to follow where things are naturally going."

[Dapper Dog]

“The Force will set you free,” he said, perhaps for himself as well.

[Luth Khalan]

"That's making more sense to me now," she agreed with a gentle nod.

[Dapper Dog]

“I am pleased I can be of some assistance,” he said in reply in his rich voice.

[Luth Khalan]

After a moment of silence, she asks, "So, passion is a pretty key part of the Sith Code... I'm curious what drives you."

[Dapper Dog]

“Emotions are important; I am just by nature a reserved and quiet soul. For now I am content with being a servant to a greater power, as all things come to those in time who persevere,” he said watching the sky.

“I suppose my drive is to survive the internecine plots against me and be stronger for it.”

[Luth Khalan]

She nodded as she listened. "Not a bad thing to be... You're an interesting person."

[Dapper Dog]

“I have never seen myself in that way but I seem to be getting that a lot lately, it must be the accent,” he said ruefully, though respectfully.

[Luth Khalan]

She laughed a little. "Maybe, or the aforementioned hotness aesthetic. Maybe it's the quietness. Gives you kind of an air of mystery."

[Dapper Dog]

He smiled briefly at her comment and then was quiet. He finally said, “We should report our success to the Fixer. Wish to do the honors?”

[Luth Khalan]

"Yeah." Agreeing even while she pulled up communications.

[Dapper Dog]

She appeared and said, "Report, asset."

[Luth Khalan]

"The target has been eliminated," Luth confirms.

[Dapper Dog]

“One moment, I am to patch you in directly, upon target elimination,” she responded.

“Draagh, Luth… excellent work. The Emperor is pleased with your actions, we have secured prosperity and peace. I trust you were thorough,” Darth Baras said staring, perhaps glaring from the holo-image.

"Two shots and down. Draagh checked to make sure she was dead," she said. She paused, then added honestly, "There was a kid there, but he didn't see us. I didn't see a need to kill him. He was the only other person there. If you want us to go back, we can, but..." She shrugged.

[Dapper Dog]

“The child is of little consequence to me, the elements should claim him in time. If he survives then there may be merit in him. Draagh monitor that situation if the child survives, we may have a use for him. For now rest, I will have a new task for you shortly. An important matter has come to my attention but I must assess the details before I can unleash you,” the Sith lord commanded.

“Draagh, leave us.”

Draagh nodded and set autopilot and then retired to the passenger compartment.

“Your assessment of Draagh?” he said once they were alone.

Luth folded one leg under her and linked her hands together in her lap as she considered the question. "Quiet, confident, does his job, not particularly bloodthirsty but doesn't shy away from it either. Patient. I get the sense he's biding his time in the long term, but I couldn't tell you for what. Seems to genuinely have the best interests of the Empire at heart. Convincing when he does choose to talk. Survivor at heart. The target didn't survive long enough for me to be able to assess much of his combat skills."

“Good, Draagh has proven to be an excellent addition to my renewed power base. More importantly this next task is for you alone, we need not involve Draagh in this matter, understood?” he said.
