Guiding Tethys's hand, Garth moves to place it on his chest over his heart. "Feel that? That's th' rhythm of mah life. Feel it, b'come one with it, just fer a few minutes, fer the length 'f a dance don't hold yerself apart from everything. Be part of something."

He flashes a crooked grin. "Ah've been doin' my research an' only a Sith deals in absolutes right?"

Tethys takes the instruction seriously, spreading her fingers over his heart and concentrating on the task at... hand. "Some say that, yes," she replies a little absently after a moment, then she sighs lightly and her lips quirk again. "Some things are instinctive to me in the way you mean. Not dancing, though. It may be, if I get better at it...?"

Keeping their hands pressed together over his chest, Garth smiles at Tethys's openness as he slips his other arm around her to just beneath her shoulder blades.

"This might not be quite as rejuvenatin' as that meditation y'all practice," Garth explains as he indicates Azura with a nod of his head,. "But it really can calm the savage beast." He jokes as he holds the jedi close while they sway to the music.

"If only temporarily," she says dryly as she slides her hand from his chest back up to his shoulder, following the line of his gesture and seeing quite clearly whom he means. But she does seem to relax slightly as the dance goes on, the intangible sense of distance around her decreasing even if it's definitely still there.

"Ain't most of th' things in this 'verse temporary? Don't mean we can't enjoy th' moment when it arises."

Feeling Tethys relax slightly, Garth starts to hum along with the music, just taking it all in. A moment of peace and relaxation in a busy war zone.

Tethys lets her eyes slip half-closed, feeling all the other lives in the club as something like different-colored lights bobbing about in the tides of the Force. The dance seems to become a little easier that way--when she thinks of it not as two bodies, one clumsy, but rather as two bright lights flickering around one another in rhythm.
