“We have little use for credits, but we understand how much you value them. The Republic needs our strength more than it needs mere coin. We will kill for your Republic when our vengeance is sated, we will break your enemies,” she said with a smile in Huttese.

"Allies, be they short term or long, we c'n always use. In helping each other, seems we help ourselves." Garth comments.

"Or that more sentimental claptrap as well?" He asks with a broad grin.

“Not so sentimental, not sure what claptrap is,” she replied curiously.

Garth runs through a few synonyms, none of which apparently translate well.

"Guess ah'm gonna have t'learn yer language before ah come back. That's Huttspeak right?" Garth asks, just to make sure.

“Yes, so I am told, you peak Basic, yes?” she responded in Huttese.

“I understand, mostly, but never speak it.”

"Yeah, ah'm not that well travelled fer a pilot. Only speak basic and ah c'n understand th' droids. Well, most o' the time. Is there a native language that would serve better than Hutt for you? If ah have t' learn something, may as well pick the most effective."

“It does not matter, the only language one must know intimately is pain,” she responded.

Garth bites back a comment about intimate languages and raises a question instead.

"The inflictin' or endurin'? Or is it all th' same?"

“Everything has a cost, Garth Wayne,” she responded.

Garth nods in understanding.
"Ah c'n endure well 'nough. Or at least ah think so, guess we'll find out. Some costs are too high though, seems a question ah'll find an answer to soon enough."

“Too high is a matter of opinion, but as I said, all things have cost,” she responded.

"And what's th' cost ah pay for these few moments of yer time?" Garth asks as he steps a little closer, expecting some exchange of violence or pain and implicitly accepting it.

She laughed and said in Huttese, “I do not sell myself, no more than a tu’kata does. You are not yet ready to be a student. Too many thoughts in your head, too many distractions from the Way. Return to us when you have freed yourself of these thoughts.”

“That would be your price.”

Surprised but accepting, Garth steps back with a nod of his head.

"When I am worthy, then shall I seek you out again Sister."

“May you find your Way, Garth Wayne,” she responded.

"And may the vengeance you seek fly upon swift wings, Sister."

Pondering Mazakin's words about the too many thoughts in his head, Garth takes a seat off to the side and contemplates over a big bowl of instant mashed potatoes. Nothing helps clear up puzzling quandaries like empty carbs.
