Cole rubbed his jaw absently with the back of his hand and ran a hand through his hair, "I'm overthinking it, right?"

"Force visions are not like dreams...this one was a clear look into what the future might hold." She took a breath "I do not know how to stop it but I must start somewhere."

"Yeah Doc, but better that than buying a piece of crap you don't know shit about." He chuckled and flicked through the manual again. "You'll want a standard set of basic laser cannons too. Mostly for show to make any chancers think twice. Republic should be cool with letting you keep 'em."

“How would you feel about checking out the freighter for me, giving it your okay? It will be in a few weeks, if I go ahead with the deal.”

"There, there. No frustration."

He patted her on the arm.

"If I come across something about these things by some streak of luck or happenstance, I'll get back to you."

The Jackal-like face nodded. "Sure thing Doc. If I make it outta this I'll help ya fix up your new ship. I think I'm owed a kriffloada shore leave anyway."

He scratched his head. "Pretty sure that coma time counts as duty time..."

Cole clapped a friendly hand on Rav's shoulder. "I'll owe you one, that's for sure."

"So it's phantom menace for now." He shrugged. "Vision more then. For now it's too little to work with."

"You can say that. Now I'll be charging twice for everything." He chuckled, but his gaze was serious. "You Jedi are funny. Thinking the fate of the universe is in your hands. Universe o trillions will work it out, whether we do something or not. I'll look into it, but we can deal with Star Cabals as they come, for better or worse."

"Never know when I might need to take you up on that Doc. Sounds like a fun project though, and I ain't had one of those for a while so... You're welcome." It felt like an unusual thing to say. People were usually apologising to him or giving him a task.

“That’s business done, and by the time this is over I’m sure I’ll owe you a drink. What’s your poison?” He ran a hand through his curls.

"Heh, sounds good. The thickest, darkest tarry black ale you can find. I like to be able to smell it like it's foggin' up the air, you know?" He chuckled.

Chuckling, “doesn’t that get all up in your sinuses? I would have thought your sense of smell would be quite sensitive.” Can you smell I’m dragging this conversation out as an excuse to be in your company? Cole’s thought we’re momentarily distracted by Rav’s fur.

Rav shrugged. "It's an acquired smell, true. Works for me though. Plus if it spils it kinda just blends in with the oil stains. Heh. You're right though, my people have an amazing sense of smell, compared to yours at least." He chuckled and posted the Doc on the back with a clawed paw.

"You know, I'd best get back to it Doc. Let's catch up and go over those plans again. Maybe grab a beer."

“Sounds good to me, thanks for the time.” Cole stood, stretching and rolling his shoulders.
