Stepping from the showers Chase was a refreshed woman. Stepping past the machines she walked over toward the tube set up. Leaning down onto the seating that was arranged from behind, hand just barely missing someones shoulder as she leaned in and made sense of what was going on on the screen.

Delmi turned to see the woman as she arrived and looked up with an appropriate amount of surprise, "Oh, hey Chase."

"Oh! Hey, seems you're still alive too, that's good," Chase said, looking to the screen for a second or two more and finally deciding that it wasn't of any actual interest to her. "What've you been up to since I saw you last?"

"Normal stuff they ask me to do I guess. Went out to take out some communications relay and brought back a prisoner with Captain Alderaan. Did some guard duty. Just helped out with the relief effort out there in Garig... That's some pretty messed up shit."

"Captain Alderaan?" Chase asked, clearly pausing after the bit on that note in particular. "Who in the galaxy is Captain Alderaan? Sounds like a comic book hero or something. I'm sure I mighta even used one of his comics for.." Chase shook her head, "Nevermind."

"Niall Organa. That's his nickname from what I hear. Cuz he's on all the posters and they build him up to be a superhero and all." She said with a shrug.

"Huh.." Chase shrugged, "guess he seems the sort for posters."

"Anyway! So, these Mando's are really earning an extra few kicks for what they're doing to this planet. If no one else gets strung up for this at least they gotta by the end."

"Yeah... they've done some messed up stuff. Nothing like the mandos I've heard about in the past. I hope to get a few punches in before the end. Seems like the strike force holds its punches a lot though... probably comes from being tied to the Republic and all I guess. But damn... I wish I could have shot that mando prick in the face at that dinner if I knew this is what he was planning."

"Republic does what it can," Chase said, slipping around and finding herself a seat to lounge in. "Can't go worrying about what ya coulda done though. Lets just see about setting it right as soon as we can. I've got my sights set on that daughter of his. Someone needs to bring her down a couple pegs and if they're her pilots, seems she's the leader, and I'm keen on showing up all the Mando's by bringing down their best."

"Hope you get the chance. You seemed pretty riled up when you were chatting with her at the dinner."

"It's a pilot thing, but yea," Chase said. "She's got it coming."

"That's what that Jax dude said. Lots of chest thumping and stuff." She replied with a nod.

"Jedi was doing the same though, so it's not like you're all that weird or somethin'."

"Jax? Blonde head, ex-military, retired old.. well, not really old but he's retired as he says so in my books," Chase shook her head, "anyway. Good guy. Jedi was... a little less than what I expected but hey, thems the ropes. Glad we didn't need her for anything all that important though. Between you and me, I was glad for her being there on account of the fact she seemed like the type who's had to fight to survive before. Can always use someone like that when everything hits the fan."

Delmi nodded, "She's a tough one. Worked with her in the past. Solid fighter. Scrappy personality. There's a lot there that hits home with me."

"A whole lot easier to chat with than any of the other ones, maybe not that.. damn I forget her name," Chase waved a hand off. "Anyway, she's not like most other Jedi and maybe that's kinda why I can trust her instincts a little better. They make a bit more sense."

She nodded, “Lots of different types in this outfit... interesting that it functions so well. Even if it’s got its own issues that arise at the same time.”

"Comes with the territory, but hey, can only roll with what you got," Chase said, looking Delmi over a second, "So, what you thinkin' you're gonna do when this is all said and done? We're not quite there yet but... well, once we're outta this jungle the respite from the main fight is gonna be over. Wonderin' if you put to thinking about what's next after this?"

She shrugged slightly, “Dunno... just been thinking about that myself. Everyone here keeps trying to recruit me... I’m still wondering whether that arrangement would be better or worse though...”

"Republic is always gonna be lookin' for recruits, and it saves them a lotta time if they're already seasoned. Sure you still gotta go through the works, but it helps in the long run. It's... better than it coulda been, come to distant worlds and fight the good fight. It was a little bit different when I signed up. Back then the fight was against the Empire. Sure they're looking for you to be there when they come back knocking, cause everyone knows they'll come back knockin'."

“Hope so... If I have any bone to pick it’s with them.” She replied.

"You and half the damn galaxy," Chase said with a bark of a laugh cut off at the center. "

"I guess so..." Delmi said with a nod as her eyes went up to the screen playing whatever it is was on.

"They'll come, and they'll get what's coming..."

Delmi nodded and kept her eyes on the screen. Her thoughts on the bit of bravado expressed stayed tucked away in her mind.
