The transport was skimming quickly through the air under the skilled hands of the pilot. Seated in a flight seat was Leontyne Saresh, her aide, a mercenary dressed in dark colors named Draagh and a few select specialists for an important if secret diplomacy mission.

OOC: This will be a day trip excursion and will return by Mid Evening of Day 6.

Delmi leaned on the rail of the transport looking out over the landscape as they flew towards their destination.

T7-B8 helpfully taking up the duties of co-pilot beeped a low volume but merry tune.

"Smooth cruisin' for a while, shouldn't be too bad gonna take a few precautions to keep us off the main radar and hopefully unhindered by any Tin-Can nutcases on the journey. Still, you know, warzone.. so, don't say I didn't warn you or nothing," Chase said over the comm that transferred her voice throughout the transport from the comfort of her seat without having to yell much. Though, in truth, if the mission went south here that might very well just be a blessing. Something happened here at least they weren't too far from home.

And that's why, Chase was pretty confident nothing was gonna happen. Cause if it were, it'd be when they couldn't rely on anyone else.

"So sit tight, buckle in, and enjoy the ride."

Saresh was calm as she mentally prepared for meeting with the crime boss. She was used t working with politicians, and this one was no different probably corrupt and possibly violent but she had needs that could be exploited. There was common ground to be had and that is where she would focus her work.

Delmi walked back to the seat next to the senator and took up her spot quietly as the scenery rushed past them.

Layne was seated, coincidentally across from Draagh. She was either asleep, or meditating. Probably the latter.

Saresh broke the silence and said, “Just to review the tentative plan, when we arrive be respectful but we don’t need them to think they can just walk over us. I am not sure what kind of reception we will receive but I hear she enjoys large displays of her power.”

“As I mentioned before we took off after that, investigate the city, get a feel for the people and see what they have to say. I expect you will be tailed or maybe even escorted but do your best to get a feel for things before the luncheon. We’ll eat and then engage in final negotiations and return home with hopefully a new ally or a trade partner.”

“Just be prepared for anything and master Jedi, do be discrete with your lightsaber, these are the kind of people that get nervous with a Jedi around.”

She opened her eyes.

"is that not why you invited me along?"

Layne had her moments of political insight.

“I trust the Jedi, which is why I brought you along, master Jedi,” Saresh said looking at her data.

"I'll try to avoid scaring the delicate pirates if I don't have to," she said.

Delmi nodded her head at the senator’s speech and sat quietly as they continued through the air.

"Arbiters of Justice, Jedi and Criminals don't quite tend to get along oft, do they?" Chase said over the comms, only really picking up half of the conversation and working with the banter to keep peoples minds off the journey what she could.

"You'd be surprised," she said, in reply to that.

"Depends on the criminals, though."

"Depends on the Jedi" she quipped back, grinning.

“As much as I enjoy bravado, please do try to refrain from anything that would cause a diplomatic incident with this criminal,” Saresh’s aide responded.

Delmi nodded, “Not here to pick a fight. Whatever the senator needs, we’ll do.”

"I'm no diplomatic genius, but I can be nice when I have to be."

The aide, wearing an expensive gown, tapped at her Datapad and said, “I thought diplomacy was a specialty of the Jedi Order.”

"Yes, well... I'm new."

Oh boy.

"There are many paths within the order though, not all focus on diplomacy."

"We are aware," she responded.

"I'll be on my best behavior... unless they make it so I shouldn't be." Delmi replied.

Draagh was silent, his head down... listening to music.

"Draagh, up front, need to chat with you," Chase said over the comms. Scanning the sands they flew over, ever watchful for Mandalorian interference.

Draagh rose to his feet and reported to Chase, "Yes ma'am, you requested my presence?"

"Take a seat," she glanced out the viewport and the scanners to make sure everything was clear quick and then leaned outta her seat in order to reach over and pull down a passenger seat nearby. "Right there. Wanna have a chat."

"I don't know you, do me a favor, fix that."
