A rather alluring rodian smiled at Jax as he cut the rug impressed by his moves and offered to dance with him. She had a beautiful scintillating gown of many colors and wore the finest animal hide shawl.

In all honesty rodians, even particularly attractive rodians, weren't really his type but he was here to dance and dance he will. "I'd be honored to share a dance with you. May I ask your name?" he said with a smile full of charm as he took her hand and started dancing with her.

“Oh my… you can call me Tharaki, humans are so… soft and dry,” she said dancing with the man, speaking in Rodian.

“I really love that animal on your head… did you kill it yourself? I love a man that can hunt, big game.”

Aran affected a devil-may-care smile despite his racing thoughts and heartbeat, and shrugged while backing away. "Whatever, pateeso!" He turned and walked away, breaking in to a run as soon as he rounded a corner (assuming nothing else serenity-jostling jappened). I really need to stop gaining do intelligence in the small hours of the night. Debriefing kept him up even later, which interfered with the morning meditations that were his usual routine. Still, it was urgent that not a minute more pass than absolutely necessary before the Republic changed those codes!

Vain nodded and watched the young man go. He slipped back into the shadows and said, “You realize he is going to get himself either killed or worse by this mystery woman?” he whispered nearly inaudible except for the person on the other end.

“If SIS was so concerned about this Clever Man, they should have sent one of their own agents. I will say this, the boy has… potential. No you can’t have him, he’s one of ours. He’s not a rylothian puppy, he is not adorable.”

Vain rolled his eyes and continued his surveillance.

A sigh escaped Z's lips as he recognized the young man in the shades pass them by. "I really should give him a good scolding, before he gets himself killed." He daid quietly, mostly to himself.

hex got a safe as he left, but with the other man, and the crowd of interlopers occupied he turned his attention fully on Lyseil. "I think you're more then courageous enough without the alcohol. If you're ready though." He offered her his arm. "Let's go. We'll start things nice and easy."

Lyseil took another gulp of the cocktail. This is pretty good! "Yes-yes, I'm ready," she smiled warmly, accepting his arm. "Nice and easy, huh... Is it like in ballroom dancing that the male partner leads?"

Jax knew enough rodian to get by but he wasn't fluent in the language by any means but he knew enough to get the jist of what she was saying "Tharaki pretty name. rodian not so good basic work ok?" he said his rodian rusty but there and he hopefully got his point across. He took a sip from his own drink, setting it on the bar before escorting her towards the dance floor. "For the most part, though I like to say it's a lot more playful, and the lady is supposed to be far more bold, perhaps even a little assertive."

"Playful. Bold. Assertive." She mulled over the words for a few seconds, her lips pressed together in a thin line as she looked like she was about to go on to defend her thesis. "Ok, I can do that, Z."

So not dancing like everyone is watching!

He rather liked the way she snugged in against him, she was most assuredly soft in all the right places. "Oh, I was quite certain you could, Lyseil. It's nice to know I was right though."

As they arrived at the floor, he switched position, turning towards her and taking up the starting pose, of a traditional Aldeeranan Waltz. "Im sure you're used to this he offered, easily. But in jizz we start from here." He shifted his hands, the position of his left a little lower that would be strictly appropriate.

Jax let out a little laugh as they danced the song picking up tempo the movements getting a little faster to stay with the beat "I suppose I can do alright, depends on what I'm hunting."

She smiled and danced with the stranger until her husband came to collect her, also a Rodian in a rather elegant suit with a fur coat. She parted ways though very much charmed by the stranger and the weird hair she had touched.

Jax chuckled waving good bye to his dance partner and went to mingle with the rest of the patrons in a good mood and having a good night.

That was certainly lower than strictly appropriate, and she recalled how the chaperones during the dances between the Alderaan Select Academy for Young Ladies and the Young Men's Service Academy had strongly disapproved of such placements of the hands.

But hah! None of those chaperones were here!

"Oh, ok!" she smiled, assuming the regular pose for the female partner. "Like this?"

"Almost there." He explained calmly,a charming smile on his lips. "But you want less space between us, instead of resting on my shoulder, pull a bit closer against me, with your hand on the back of my shoulder, towards the middle of my back." It wasn't exactly Jazz dancing he was teaching her,that was quite a bit more free form. In a way it was related though,and it would definitely help her along her way.

"Ok!" Lyseil shifted her arm around, so she could pull herself closer to Zanebry as she found what felt like a natural spot slightly underneath his shoulder, towards the middle of his back... and she felt like she should probably be wearing heels for this instead of functional boots. She had enough dance lessons to at least try to find the rythm as she let Zanebry begin to lead her in the dance.

This was... different, but it seemed a lot more exciting than the boring ballroom dancing on Alderaan!

Heels would definitely be in order if they ever went out dancing again, though they could perhaps discuss that later. "Here." Z said softly, as they began his lips spread in smile, as he sought out here rhythm and matched his to it.

As promised he didn't try and push her too hard, as he led her through the dance. Giving quiet pointers, and introducing positions she was likely entirely unused to as they went. This was indeed nothing like dancing on Aldeeran.

Lyseil followed along without stumbling, tripping, or making a fool of herself on the dancefloor, but she was very much a beginner in this sort of thing. At least there was potential there to turn her into a bonafide dancer! And she certainly seemed to be having fun too.

"I think I might get the hang of this someday," she chuckled as she followed along to his guiding movements and the rythm. "... Heels next time seems a good choice."

That she was enjoying it was the most important thing, and she did seem to be coming along, though Z did walk he could to make sure she didn't trip or stumble, the movements could be rather intricate.

"You're doing quite well for your first time, Lyseil." Z replied, joining in with her laughter. "I admit I'd like to see you in a lovely dress too, if heels are in the equation." He caught her eyes with his for a moment. "Though I'm happy to hear you're interested in another chance."

"Thank you!" she beamed happily, mindful enough to not be too distracted by the compliment. Of course she could dance, she was a top graduate from the Select Academy!

"I like to think I look better in more formal attire... at least more formal than this, but I think I would've raised a few eyebrows along the way if I did."

If she asked Z, he'd admit being a graduate of a select academy, didn't make you good at dancing. Rayne's lessons for example had been much slower going, not that he had really minded.

"I think you're the type to look good in about anything." Replied as they continued to dance. "I must admit I'm curious to see how you look all dressed up though." He paused a moment thoughtfully, shaking his head a moment later. "No,I don't think my imagination can do it proper justice."

"You're right though, it would of called attention."
